Hi crafters! Day three of the blog launch is starting with my new Butterfly Background. It is a bit different from the country collection backgrounds as it is square in shape as opposed to the usual rectangular shape. With six dies in this set, you have more than enough versatility to create beautiful cards, The very centre design has been left with a non butterfly theme so it can easily be used for many other techniques. Did the eagle eyed among you spot it in the background of the sample showing the Mauritius die on day one? Yes it was there and it is so versatile. The set also comes with a single butterfly that is nicely sized for use on cards as a simple accent (or even to cover those spots where we boo booed! LOL) Leave a comment if you are interested in winning this one! The next blog post is scheduled for 10am and I think you will find it is a beautiful accompaniment to this one as well! June, thanks for caring about Robbie, George was contacted by the parents of a Paraolympic swimmer who lives near where Robbie goes to College to try to get him to meet her but he thinks they are match making so is holding back lol. I think she won a medal last games, Robbie too was a State champion swimmer.
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh you have done us proud with this one, it is certainly a MUST HAVE, I love the butterflies but also I was one of the people who spotted the square background, so I am dead chuffed about that. Only 1 week to go before AP, so looking forward to it.

Pam, what is wrong with match making, I got my 2nd husband (current) that way, so tell Robbie to have a meet with her, if it doesn't work out then put it down to experience. Wow Have been watching the Para Olympics, we are doing so well, it just goes to show that anyone can do anything it they put their mind to it and Robbie is a prime example of this. Good morning Sue. How can it be that someone as creative as you are can get even more creative with every new collection you design and launch ? Where on earth do you pull your ideas from Sue ? Are you working through a project and think - ooh, I could do with a background but with butterflies as a border detail and so the idea grows from there ? You just never fail to amaze me with not only your project designs but your die designs too. If this gorgeous die is my first need of day 3 I reckon I'll be bankrupt by 6pm as I did seem to get rather pally yesterday with PayPal lol, all those New Addition dies sent me out of control lol.

Lovely versatile looking die, yes I had spotted part of the die in a previous post.
Ordered baby dies yesterday, so today's will be on my anniversary present list at the end of the month.
Peter has still not heard anymore from the hospital!!! He is eating, drinking and sleeping better - thank goodness.

June I've been watching the Paralympics too aren't they amazing! We are doing so well. Pam I had to chuckle that Robbie thinks they are match making, she could be trying to encourage him to become part of the Paralympic team and compete at the next Olympics - how amazing would that be! Xxx

ReplyDeleteI have fallen in love with this die set Sue as it is just beautiful, but i think there will be a lot of us that have done that with this beauty. What a beautiful card and the single butterfly looks like it has a little heart in the bottom wing on each side so you could secretly tell someone you loved them with out it being blazen for all the world and their friends to see. I am into square cards at the moment so this is ideal in shape for me. Thank you Sue for bringing such beauty to us.

I love this card Sue, really nice colour for the background.I received my die from my retailer yesterday and have made a card already, it is really gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantabulous die Sue, who doesn't adore a butterfly? I love the square shape to this die, it's a pleasant change to the usual rectangle....though I haven't splashed out on the noble squares they would be fab as a frame for this beauty.
Princess Pixie will be especially pleased with this card, it features a gorgeous pixie powder background which really enhances the butterfly detailing, I'm also loving the pave pearl technique because it's been a while since you have featured it on the blog. Lovely card and even scrummier die.
Feeling more refreshed this morning after a bit of shut eye and ready to contend with another batch of delicious posts. I have to go out soon though, I have a caci facial booked and it's a priority...I can't have my jowls tripping me up when I meet the great lady herself next weekend....and just in case of any confusion , I'm not referring to a certain princess:-)

ReplyDeleteI've been waiting to see this one as I loved the die when I first saw it! My friend did too and I think she actually ordered it. I often make square cards and have the noble squares so this would e a great addition!
The card is beautiful . I saw the butterflies on the Mauritius card but only because Norah told me !!!

I particularly like the 'spare' butterfly flying free, you can never have too many butterfly dies. I'm pleased to see where the background on the day one card with the Mauritius die has come from because I loved that card too.

The die is completely and utterly and unbelievably eyepoppingly breathtaking. And teamed up with my favourite pots of heavenly sparkle it is completely amazing x
My burning question has been answered. I spent ages trying to work out how you had made the amazing background on the card which showcased your Mauritius die. I was convinced you had cleverly snipped, manipulated and changed one of the dies in the India Ocean collection. Now it all becomes very clear!! x
Need to give this bank robbery some serious consideration x
