Tina, poor Mick - blocked catheter = agony. (Lots of experience of that here until final successful op. For Mr that is. On several occasions he blacked out in A&E with the pain and waiting for hours for relief, and at one point the resus team were needed - v.frightening. Heaven knows what would have happened if I hadn't been with him and thus called for help.) Hope Mick better, and cooler, soon.
Wheely, wish there were a magic wand for you and for a new job too. Cuddles for Billy.
Laine - yes, do enjoy the wicked moments - would be cheering you both on as no overall favourite yet. You, cats.. Yvonne cakes.. Ummmmm!!
Hugs to all.

Hi sue.
ReplyDeleteGeorgeous card as always. So many possibilities with ur dies just need to access ur brain for the ideas lol
Well ladies another difficult week. Dads flat is now cleared but my house is like a tip with a whole load of boxes and bags with my dads things in them.
At least I can go thru them at my own pace. I felt quite emotional when we had to hand my dads keys back to his landlord. The landlord was quite upset too as my dad had worked for him in his wee corner shop for about 20 years every weekend.
Another chapter closed and a new chapter begins as they say. The past few days I feel as tho I'm so tired an don't want go get outa bed but then I do as it be a waste of a day.
Congrats to rosiejt on her card win.
Love to all xx
Congrats rosiest. Great card Sue.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue, a beautiful card that would be a joy to receive. The arbour gate is a lovely die and you have made it so adaptable. The milk and soft gold go together beautifully.

Beautiful card Sue. Congratulations to Rosiejt
ReplyDeleteAnother different style card from you today Sue! If only I could think outside the box the way you do, my brain just isn't flexible at all, I have trouble thinking what day it is, so why do I expect to look at a die and see something else? lol
ReplyDeleteTracy, I know how you feel, I still have a house with loads of boxes etc after clearing my mum's house. I won't tell you how long it is since I lost her! When you know they treasured things it's hard to throw them away. Sending you hugs.
Hugs to everyone who needs them today,

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful and elegant card
Hope you have a good weekend

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteA really pretty and very clever card! Love the colours you have used also. Looking at dies in different ways and cutting pieces out is really fun! It doesn't always work if I do it but as you say - it's just a piece of card!!
Elaine you made me laugh this morning! I'm glad the family enjoyed their cinema trip! Each step gives a boost to morale for everyone!
Tracy - you must be mentally worn out as well as physically. However that's another task completed and you don't have to go to the flat again. I hated going into my parents home after they passed away - only six months between them. The life had gone out of it but the memories and fun are still with me now! Thinking of you.
Tina - hope Mick has a better day today.
For other friends going through troubled times - sending hugs.
Rosie - congratulations on winning a lovely card!
Thank you Sue, lots of love, Myra x
Oh my Sue you are clever. Although you do the designing, the brain's behind the beauty of your collections I wonder how all these different uses get to register deep inside your memory bank ! Your brain must be ready to burst with ideas - how I'd love to be there to help collect them up lol. I was handed two bravery awards yesterday 1. Warmest wishes. 2. The Wellington die !! Bless his heart, so much for my 'keeper' for updating his list lol he picked up the Wellington die Thursday for me lol. Message from 'keeper' to Sue..... Enough now lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day 😉 xxx

ReplyDeleteYour Arbour Gate die is a beautiful die. I ordered it to make a special wedding card for a great-nephew's wedding in November. Now in your video, you have shown me another way to use the die. I like versatility from the dies I purchase and you always give us crafters that flexibility. Thanks for the video.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Rosie on winning this week's card!
ReplyDeleteLOVE today's elegant card! Gold and white is always a winning combination in my book!!! Must get this die too!! TFS!
Great combination of dies and colours. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Love the colours of the card today. It would look great as a wedding card. It's true - we should all think of using our dies in a different way and this card just goes to prove it. Stunning. Love the embossing folder that you have used too.

Love the colours Sue - will have to check out the Youtube tomorrow! Susan x
ReplyDeleteGood evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteThis is a different card today Sue and i am trying to work it out before looking at the video to see if i'm right. I like the combination of colour that you have used in todays inspiration and it seems so spacious in design. I have some of the dies in fact i have been cutting them out this afternoon as i have not long got them, to see just what goes with what and i can dream up with them. Thank you Sue for a different look to your dies, now i'm going back to see what the video says, have a good weekend flower.
This is the first that the computer has worked today so of course what is the first thing that any of us do when we get it all fired up, look up on Sue's blog to see what we have to try our hand at today and to see if it is possible for us to do so. I am loving the Belgian collection as well as the Swiss that i sort of sneaked in as i have been looking longingly at them for so long. I keep thinking that i prefer one over the other and then cut out the other and back to square one again, lol. I do like the fact that in one of the sets is two corners plus their outlines that are just fantastic as they can make different styles of frames.
Rosie, well done on winning this weeks WOW card as it really was a WOW, i hope that you enjoy it flower when it arrives at it's new home. Sending hugs to all my lovely Wilsonettes friends that need, could do with or just want,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Happy crafting

Hi Sue and everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card and great video. The arbour gate is so delicate and it's great you have shown us other ways of using it. Love the colours you have used too.
Dear Tracy, it's no wonder you feel as you do. It's been an intensely emotional time for you recently, well actually for a long time really. At least you have cleared the flat and can take your time going through those treasured possessions. There is no time limit, this is all part of the grieving process and everyone handles this differently. This is your experience, and your rules. A good friend of mine once pointed out that I used the word 'should' a lot. Something I hadn't realised I did or thought about it much to be honest. I hope I'm not overstepping the mark when I say, please don't let anyone make you feel guilty by telling you what you should be doing/behaving like, especially timewise, even if they believe they are trying to help. Obviously support and guidance will definitely be needed at times by those closest to you on those days where you just don't know what to do. Even though you probably don't think it, I think you are doing really well. Sending love and comforting hugs. X
Congratulations to Rosie for your card win.
