Hi bloggers! I started today's card by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Bed of Roes embossing folder. I cut two Australian Borders and glued them to the top and bottom edges of the embossed piece. I matted that piece with Iris card. For the focal element, I cut the Sydney die twice out of white card, one of them was backed with Iris card and they were mounted in a crisscross fashion with the solid Iris die cut on top. I cut the Hamilton die in white, backed in white then cut the centre out of it. I mounted foam pieces on the back of the frame. Next I stamped my sentiment (from the clear stamp set by Creative Expressions called Delightful Sentiments) and covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet, then glittered it with Diamond Snow and centred the frame over it. I mounted it in the centre of the card then added some white flatback pearls as accents. The card was completed with my usual white pierced mat, iris mat and a final white mat layer. The finished dimensions are 8" x 9 1/2" in size.

ReplyDeleteSteph and Andy, hope you had a wonderful anniversary yesterday, Steph, I'm sure he has never regretted turning up on that day, metal addiction or not. He obviously thinks you are a keeper too.
Thank you again ladies for your kind words, Sandy, it is 5 yrs since my 2nd bout of pneumonia, the CT scan showed Bronchiectasis caused by the pneumonia damage.
Tina, I'm so glad our words help you. I know it's a worry about Mick but he is doing better at home and will continue to do so.
Daily hugs to all, including Tracey and dad.

ReplyDeleteFab card Sue.
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue.
ReplyDeleteThank you a really pretty card.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
Perfect Sue, just perfect. It's such a pretty card with the effect of delicate lace top and bottom. I don't have any of the dies shown today but they will be on Andy's list at some point today. I was spoilt with Maggie, Laced edged leaves and Rhodes yesterday, I'm so lucky to have such an understanding husband as far as addiction is concerned lol and one to care and be at my side regardless of all the health issues he's had to watch me go through ! If only marriages were as strong these days it's far to easy to give up rather than work through problems ! Anyway, thanks Pam and thank you to you ladies that sent us best wishes yesterday, kind words cost nothing and even more appreciated when you don't know each other xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue for a beautiful start to my day, and I return my appreciation to you with hugs ☺ xx

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card today and a nice BIG one as well :).
I hope everyone is doing well today...Pam, keep getting better and to everyone who needs some love and hugs, I send them to you from down here in Cornwall.
I've spent a few rather damp and very blustery hours in Falmouth today with my sister. Despite having lived down here for almost 6 years, it's only the second time of visiting there. Last time we went on the boat but this time we went by bus...very exciting when the trees kept bashing the roof of the double decker lol. It was good fun though and we warmed up with a nice pasty. I think I need a relaxing day in the craft room when sis goes home on Monday...I'm getting withdrawal symptoms as I've not been able to do anyhting while she's been staying...it's nice to have her hear though and the break may well get my mojo working again :)
