Morning Sue (a windy one!) do so like the versatility of the Gemini die but then most if not all your dies are so versatile,- you just have to think outside the box which I find hard to do! Congratulations to Julie - lucky girl!

Morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteFantastic video and a stunning card. Have been struggling to think of a card for my parents this year. Do not have all the dies so will improvise with what I have to create a similar format. Many thanks for your wonderful inspiration.
Feeling better today(thank you for your good wishes Diane and Long Island lady), good job too as it is Cannington Christmas this evening. Our celebrations are to light the Village Christmas tree, sing Christmas carols and have a Street Fayre with all the village groups having tables loaded with goodies. Somehow think they will be in our village hall tonight as it is blowing a fair gale here, no rain as of yet but I do believe it is on its way.
There are squillions of leaves blowing around my patio, the willow tree is the last of my trees to shed all its leaves so another job of clearing them up when weather permits me outside. they don't compost as good as the oak leaves, such a shame but they will be going into my green bin for the council to make use of them.
Warm thoughts and prayers to Melody Francis, Tracy, June and all who are in pain, discomfort or facing hospital visits.
Love & hugs
Cheryl xxx

What a coincidence...I've been making recessed framed Christmas cards this week and I love the effect. I got some great ideas from your video for changing them up a bit....I never make any two cards exactly alike as I like each one to be an "original"....thanks so much for the inspiration. Your card is beautiful, as always. What would we do without you????
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!!!

Hi Sue, absolutely beautiful card, fabulous colour combination. Love the small Gemini Dies, so versatile.

Hi Sue, a really pretty card and a perfect size. I love the way you created the recessed frame and the little bit of sparkle from the in-filling is spot on. Looking forward to seeing you on our screens next week.
ReplyDeleteLaine - hope your appointment goes well, it makes such a difference to be driven to hospital even though the parking can be a nightmare, your brother is a gem.
Jane F - hope the craft fair is going/went well and the weather didn't put people off.
Julie Bee - Congratulations on being the Wednesday Winner, enjoy.
Well the plan for today was to go to town and finish the Christmas shopping but with gales and heavy rain since yesterday I have decided to stay at home. Just as well as I am waiting for the roofer to call me back - we have a leaking gutter and the patio is so sodden it is getting flooded. It has also given me the chance to put inserts in my cards so hopefully I can get them written soon. Hope everyone with this awful weather is coping and keeping dry and warm.
Frances
Wow what a very pretty card today, love it, missed yesterday's, but love the second, not so sure about the first but still lovely, hope every one stays safe in the wind in the uk x
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteWell Sue i really love todays card and the verse on the front is so true and i think needs to paid heed to a bit more, must look for this stamp set. Todays card is in such a lovely gentle colour scheme and suitable for so many different times. Seen that Heartfelt and a few other companies have followed your lead my making up Gemini dies of their own designs and Striplet dies as well but for me there will only be the originals that are the best.
Julie Bee, well done flower on winning a Sue original, enjoy flower and hope that it gives you the inspiration that it does for me with the one that i got a few years ago.
Well folks i can only hope that you are having nicer weather where you are as we have seen nothing but rain now for the past couple of weeks which if i could run i wouldn't get as wet but since i can't it's a through to the skin job normally but hey the ducks are enjoying it. I wonder if with the amount of rain that we have had this past long while will mean no hose pipe bans during the summer, lol. Have a good day everyone and sending hugs to all our Wilsonette friends that could do with them.
Love and crafty hugs

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful card and a very thought provoking sentiment,
Like Tracy sadly at the moment it has a special meaning for me too and every moment that my sister and I have smiled together and laughed uncontrollably together are special, there is nothing I have to forgive her for, we love each other truly and life is too short.
Lorraine E, sorry you are feeling a bit down, hope all went well yesterday, special hugs.
TXCowgill, prayers for Greg.
Melody you are also in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and hugs for all

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. Lovely sentiment and the colours are perfect. I love Gemini dies, they do frame things very well. Did I spot shows? Need to set that sky box if I did!
Thinking of everyone in the north of the UK in the very wet and windy weather. Just strong winds here in the extreme east, we get the rain later...! Hugs and hoping there's no disruption to power suppliers or flooding. Already checked on baby brother, he assures me he has a torch, extra blankets and food that doesn't need cooking (I think he means crisps and other snacks rather than actual food!). I know I fuss but I am the biggest sister so it's my job!
Sending hugs and good wishes to everyone who's unwell or having treatment. Hoping matters improve soon.
I had a lovely surprise today, my best friend had a hockey game 20 miles down the road in Colchester and visited after with her hubby and their dog in tow. Billy was delighted to see his favourite doggy friend and played outside regardless of the wind. To come half an hour up the road when it took them an hour and a half travelling east to get to Colchester was so, so nice of them. Their visit has been a real boost and we shall see them around Christmas as they'll be back up to stay with family.
Pretty tired, have not checked yesterdays comments as a result. Hoping it'll mean a decent nights sleep and not too many difficulties getting out of bed tomorrow. Cards won't make themselves after all!
Hugs to absolutely everybody, plenty extra hugs here if you need them,
T x
Oops...
