Floral Vase
Hi bloggers! The rose, poppy and apple blossom dies work so nicely together with the classic vase, it can't help but make a lovely card!
The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow it certainly does work well using those dies, you can batch cards of these and just leave the sentiment off until you are ready, great idea. Will watch video when hubby gets up...............shall I make a noise and wake him up.............no I better not or else he will be Mr Grumpy....not really.
Had to go to the drs. yesterday as my knee was so painful, I don't know what I have done to it but he said it was very inflamed and gave me some anti inflammatory tablets, I have taken 2 and it is beginning to get easier, oh wonder drugs.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Morning Sue. Thank you for another great video, and beautiful card. A brilliant idea as June says make up a batch, then your ready for any occasion. Thank you Take care Kitty.
Hello Sue and all Lovely card and those subtle colours are just perfect. Great dies for those post cards and so pretty. Will have to watch video later, wrapping Christmas presents at the moment, still so much to do before the grandchildren arrive on Tuesday and crafting time with them, one of my favourite things Muriel x
Morning Sue, Another beautiful card today. I'm trying to be good and not buy more craft stuff before Christmas, I gave my Daughters a list of your die sets I want. After Christmas I will have a nice spending spree lol. I need to win the lottery as I want all of your die sets they are all stunning. Have a lovely day Maggie
Morning Sue. This is a beautiful card. The colours of the flowers are wonderful and everything just seems to work so well together. A great idea to batch make. Take care everyone. Best Wishes. Denise T x
Stunning card today Sue. The vase and flower dies are so different to any of your other dies, but so effective. Have a great day everybody Hugs Sylvia xx
Gorgeous card, Sue, all fits together beautifully - thanks for the video and all the tips for inking, and really like the new EF. Would love to receive this one! Barbara macaskill - so sorry for your turmoil and hope things get easier for you. Likewise to all our friends with problems - hugs.
Hi Sue. A very different card today but it's beautiful and it shows just how wonderful your flower dies are. With a little bit of adapting this would be perfect for posting! Hugs to all and special wishes to our missing friends. Sue XXX
Hi Sue This card is fabulous! I love the flower dies, especially the poppy. I love red poppies and have oodles of them in my garden. The embossed lines just finish this card off beautifully. Thank you for sharing it with us. Have a great day everyone. Hugs.
Hi Sue, another stunning card, just love those flowers, and the delicate colouring, hope to catch up with all your videos during the holidays. Best Wishes Lilian in Cornwall
Good morning all. What a treat, a bunch of flowers from Sue! Well it's the only bunch I'll get if my hubby has anything to do with it! Lol Gorgeous thanks Sue Xx
Good morning Sue Fabulous card and great video full of hints and tips thanks for sharing. I love the way you've embossed the corner it finishes off the card brilliantly. Seeing you use the smaller embossing folder reminded me to use mine, I tend to only use the larger ones. The Smoothies are my favourite blending tool ever! Hugs x Heather T
Another lovely card Sue (as usual!). I have the smoothies on my Christmas list (however it is rather a long list!) but I had forgotten about the vase die, will have to treat myself. Thank you Sue
Hi Sue - this card is so pretty and I just love the vase of flowers. These dies will be so useful for many types of card and I will be buying them if Santa doesn't bring me them next week! Am going to watch the video later, so look forward to seeing your demonstration. Best wishes YvonneMayxx
Hi Sue, Very pretty card. I love it. Really like the flower dies, I think they are so useful. June hope your knee feels better today, know just how you feel! Daily hugs to Melody, Francis and Tracy X. Love and hugs to all who need them, love Alison xxx
Hi Sue A lovely card this morning and so useful for all different occasions. Having a batch of flowers and vases all ready to use would be a great idea for those last minute cards! Lesley S x
This is exactly how I pictured the vase being used, with die cut flower shapes or more 3D flowers. It'd make some lovely 'quick' cards and with hospitals not allowing flowers nowadays the prospect of some pretty 'get well' cards.
There's been some wonderful cards over the last week and as I write I'm catching up on last weekend Hochanda shows, very inspiring stuff and the need list is that bit longer as well. I think I have the tightest pink Grand Calibur in the country but it still has the odd dead zone. Have an A5 machine for the thick dies and heavy duty stuff but when either of those go to the big craft shop in the sky I will go for a Platinum as it's very impressive - especially as an electric add on is due. Sending hugs from Billy and I to you & Mom xxx

Lynda, thank you, Billy says you're a lovely person to keep sending him cuddles, which he returns with interest. Hugs back at you xxx
My absence has been due to the issues with my neck causing daily migraines, the meds do work but I still end up sleeping after. Whole Christmas thing has been a bit of a write off, a lot of people getting vouchers and (whisper it) I had to give in and buy cards this year. Still making a special card for my Nanna and one for my granddad and his wife.
Must go, woke up at 5am with a locked neck so want to do breakfast and feed Billy, wrap my PA's Christmas gift and write a card then have a couple of hours sleep before she gets here. Getting those special cards knocked out tomorrow with any luck so if I'm not here don’t worry.
Sending a big happy hug each to all you Wilsonettes, have plenty extra if you need them. Hope you all have a wonderful day xxx
Hello Sue, What a really lovely card this is! It would be so useful for many occasions ! I bought that die as On your Special Day covers quite a lot! Also like the fact that it can be used portrait or landscape. I'm going to watch the video after lunch. I always learn something! By the way, Sue, I loved the black and red necklace you wore on Hochanda last week! If it goes missing I've pinched it! Lol! Love to all, Myra xxc
Lovely card today Sue which has lots of colours on but is still understated and elegant. The sentiment is so pretty. Wheely, so good to hear from you but sorry you are still having a rough time. Wishing you a good spell. Barbara, so so sorry to hear your awful news. I hope you have family and friends to support you as you come to terms with your altered situation, huggles xxx. I must finish off all my crafting today then tomorrow it can be wrapping day and then I can concentrate on housework. Wishing good things to all xxx
Hi Sue, As you know I'm not a huge fan of flowers but I love the paler ones you did on the video, just so pretty. I also like the embossed lines in the top right hand corner they fill the space without distracting from the focal element (I'll have to try and remember that one). Thanks for sharing. Beverley W
Hi, Sue, Hi Everyone, What a very pretty card today, Sue. I love the flowers and the colours you chose for them. They are delightful :). Well, my Christmas tree is finally up! This year I decided to put it in front of the window instead of on top of a unit by the wall and what have I decided?!?!!? I need a bigger tree lol. My window goes the entire length of my front room and touches the front door (I think it's all one unit) and the window has to be about 4' deep. My little tree is a 4' tall one but even up on my magazine rack it looks too small. So, don't tell it but this is most likely its last year as I've fallen in love with a wonderful 7' tall Noble Pine tree. It's lightly flocked so snow covered and it actually looks like a REAL tree! The down side, it's over £100 but I do have all year to save up for it lol. I'll be making loads of decorations for it during the year so will be having a look at my dies to see if I can turn the cut designs into something wonderful for the tree next year. I don't decorate the room as such so I decided that it's not too bad to go as mad as I can with the tree. My sister always buys a real one and I'm thinking that mine will pay for itself in a few years and should last for ages. I do worry that I'm thinking of next Christmas before this one has arrived...\I'm getting like that Park Hamper advert aren't I lol. I hope everyone is smiling at the thought of the weekend and all the Christmas shopping is almost finished. I just have to go to town once more before next Friday but that's just to pick up a prescription as all my shopping is done and dusted for this year...YAY!!! Hugs to everyone. Bejay x (still a bit croaky but getting there)
I think this is absolutely delightful, it has an almost watercolour appearance. Anyone would surely love to receive a Card like this. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sue, what a lovely card, really pretty colours, nearly as good as a real bunch of flowers, in some respects, but better in others as it will keep longer. Wendyx
Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes, This is such a pretty card Sue and with the sentiment that you have put on it, it could be for any occassion. I love how it's only the flowers that have the colour in them and the backing for the sentiment. You have made the ideal Mothers Day, or Birthday or Easter or a Thinking of you or a Just Because card, what a brilliant way to be able to actually get something planned and ready just for signing as the sentiment does for all these various occasions. Thank you Sue for a very useful card indeed. Wheely flower i'm so sorry that you have been having a bad time with your neck and migraines as i know from on going experience just how it feels and how it affects you. You have a wee rest if you can flower as it can wear you down when you have all the normal things going on and migraines and extra pain on top of it. Sending hugs your way flower to let you know you're thought of. Tracy i hope your treatment is treating you as well as can be expected from it and that you are on that upward climb back to health again. Barbara flower, my SIL found out that my BIL's extra overtime work that he had been doing through the night and long days was nothing that brought in extra money but him doing exactly the same to her as he had done to his first wife and she was devastated. He has just got remarried once more to his extra overtime after 12 years of living with her but my poor SIL is still trying to pick up the pieces of her broken heart as are their children. All i can do flower is send you gentle hugs and thoughts to get you through this awful period but you can bounce back, you are a strong vibrant woman who will be back better than she was. I hope that you have family and friends that will be by your side when you and now you need them the most. well trying to get some last minute things done but it is that kind of a day that it is all conspiring against me so i'm just about to put my hands up and say "you win". The weather outside my house this afternoon is like a warm Spring day, you wouldn't think that Christmas day was only 8 sleeps away not that i'm counting. So i will wish you all as good a day as you can have with gentle hugs going to all the Wilsonettes and honary Wilsonettes that could do with them, Love and crafty hugs Norah (Glenochil)
Hi Sue, a beautiful card and I love the subtle colouring of the flowers on the video. The flower dies really do mix and match so well, it's a bouquet that anyone would love to receive. Frances
Love the flowers and the vase; and especially how you showed us to lightly ink the inside die cut of the vase to look like water coming through the lacquer. Thanks for another wonderful video.
Wow Sue that is one pretty card and just what is needed for a grey damp day. I love that vase die and also the flower ones and must admit I have overlooked them but not anymore as they are now on my wish list.
Beautiful card Sue! I love the flowers in the vase, so pretty and elegant looking. Great video you make it all look so easy!!! Just received my Noble Squares and Rectangles Set B so can mat and layer till my hearts content.
Wheely, Lorraine and Norah, Thank you so much for your kind words! I am playing my cards close to my vest right now and waiting for the perfect time to let them know that I know what is going on. Sue~ This vase of flowers is delightful! TFS!
Good afternoon & Friends Oh Sue I love this card it's so pretty. The flowers are beautiful with the vase to show them off perfectly. Love & Hug's Lynda Brock xx

Lorraine F, I'll put the kettle on for us both this Christmas. Many years since I last had a proper drink. I used to be allowed a tiny amount but not for a good while now. I miss the taste of some drinks though, a really nice red or rosé, Baileys or a nice light real ale. I'm a pain if I'm ever in a pub, interrogating staff on their soft drink collections!
So i will wish you all as good a day as you can have with gentle hugs going to all the Wilsonettes and honary Wilsonettes that could do with them,
Love and crafty hugs
