Hello bloggers!! Today's offering is a milk and vintage gold card combo. I started by cutting two of the Lattice and Lace Striplet in milk card. I backed them both with milk card cut from just the outer cutting die for a tone on tone look. I added them to the sides of my card with mounting foam. For the focal piece, I used the Ornate Pierced Design Nobles to create a gold frame. I added a second thinner frame cut out of milk card and glued it on top. I used the same Lattice and Lace Striplet die to cut some detail for the background behind the frame. I cut just the inner decorative die three times out of milk card. I backed it with Vintage gold card, added the frame over it and trimmed away the excess from the edge of the fame. I cut a small square of the gold card and turned it for a diamond orientation and added it to the centre of the frame with mounting foam. I cut two Canadian tags, crisscrossed them and added them to the gold card. I stamped my sentiment and embossed it in gold and cut it out with the Montreal die oval. I used the Toronto die oval to add a thin gold mat to it. I embellished the die cuts with cream flatback pearls before adding my usual pierced mat layer, thin gold mat and another milk mat to finish. You could certainly add some flowers if you wanted, however, I felt that the detailed dies were enough for this card. Sometimes, less is more isn't it? The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" 9" in size. If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this week's card, just leave me a comment. The winner of the drawing will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x
