Border Shortening Technique
Hello crafters! If you have a long border that you would like to use to create a background, but need it be a bit shorter, here is a great cheat to use to solve your problem! Enjoy the video.
Lovely card Sue, cheers me up to go back to work today. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the Spring weather. Hugs all round. Ps Steph, which die did Mr L get you? He is a gem.
One of those cards which made me think: mmmm, don't know - but as the video progressed, really got to like it. A bit worried when it came to the chop with all those layers! Lovely blue and now being nudged to use those curlicues and hope they survive posting. Always great to see your videos, Sue, so thank you again.

Wheely Bad - yes, with you on that, loo roll knitted clashing-coloured covers. And as for the lightshades - as a child, I had black-and-white flock zebras with pink border in an ubiquitous yellow rose wallpapered bedroom. So much more fun before we heard of home decor! No pretensions or minimalism then.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Video, somehow watching it made the card even more interesting, love the effect of the borders used together and the flower and fronds /spirals are gorgeous! Finally made it up to the craft room yesterday for a play and it felt Great! Love and hugs to all xo
Morning Sue Thank you for today's beautiful gift. Everything is so clean; gentle; and calming. Just what we love to have. I do love your new border die but for me today it's your floral arrangement that draws the eyes. Not a large flower but nicely enhanced by all your swirls and twirls. These small things just finish a gorgeous gift.
Hope you all enjoyed your Easter holiday and are now ready for work. At least Friday will come quickly this week for you all.
We have sunshine again this morning. Still cold but if it's like yesterday turned out it will be lovely and warm by lunch time so I can get some laundry out on the line.

I'm going to try to take my auntie out for lunch to Rockcliffe Hall in Darlington to spoil her a little. It's a 5 star hotel set in gorgeous grounds / golf course, so we'll sit and look out over this and watch the squirrels having fun! What a lovely card (as always). I love how you show us to use the dies in new ways and to think outside the box. The only thing I would change is the flower. It feels too casual to me on this lacy card. Just me I guess.

Just watched the video Sue, what a good tip, I've been struggling to get my borders to fit size of the card. It's easy when you show us how. It's a lovely card and I just love that blue. Wheelybad- I love reading your comment this morning/very late. Memories from crazy wallpapers, crocheted shelving rims and that horris poodle to hide the loo rolls lol I helped my dad putting up wood veneer in the ceiling, it made it so dark and the light on top of the box tv that had a car going around by the heat of the lamp Oh dear, much more prefer the furnitures today but if visiting Ikea you will see some from the 60th/70th coming back again ! Alison- hope your outing with your aunt was nice and you both enjoyed some sunshine. Lynne M Lots of little birds around in the garden again so I can see that Tilly and Cully will be busy for a while tihi Cuddles to them both. Taken antibiotics for tonsillitis over a few day's now so I will be ok to see some of you my friends on Saturday ,only 4 more sleeps until I will meet you too Sue !

Hi Sue. WOW !! A great video and a gorgeous card today !! I love the blue and white colour combo. The Caribean Border Die looks really pretty and I love how you have made them "high and low" . You have showed us a really useful way to make them "fit" into your chosen card size to !! I love all of the finishing touches dies that you have used on today's card. These ones have been on my wish list ever since I first saw them !! The Swirls Dies with the curly cues and the Delicate Fronds Dies. They are definite "must have" dies for me. What a clever idea to shorten a long border die cut. Thanks for the idea. I also like the depth the dense felt flower looks with the thin folage sprays under the flower. Very pleasing to the eye!

What a lovely card (as always). I love how you show us to use the dies in new ways and to think outside the box. The only thing I would change is the flower. It feels too casual to me on this lacy card. Just me I guess.

Wheelybad- I love reading your comment this morning/very late.
Memories from crazy wallpapers, crocheted shelving rims and that horris poodle to hide the loo rolls lol I helped my dad putting up wood veneer in the ceiling, it made it so dark and the light on top of the box tv that had a car going around by the heat of the lamp Oh dear, much more prefer the furnitures today but if visiting Ikea you will see some from the 60th/70th coming back again !
Alison- hope your outing with your aunt was nice and you both enjoyed some sunshine.
Lynne M Lots of little birds around in the garden again so I can see that Tilly and Cully will be busy for a while tihi Cuddles to them both.
Taken antibiotics for tonsillitis over a few day's now so I will be ok to see some of you my friends on Saturday ,only 4 more sleeps until I will meet you too Sue !

Hi Sue. WOW !! A great video and a gorgeous card today !! I love the blue and white colour combo. The Caribean Border Die looks really pretty and I love how you have made them "high and low" . You have showed us a really useful way to make them "fit" into your chosen card size to !! I love all of the finishing touches dies that you have used on today's card. These ones have been on my wish list ever since I first saw them !! The Swirls Dies with the curly cues and the Delicate Fronds Dies. They are definite "must have" dies for me. They are so gorgeous !! I have your pierced flags dies and they are brilliant, so useful. I love your flower to.
