Die Cut Fill In
Hi crafters! What can you do when you don't have exactly the right sentiment to fit into exactly the right shape die cut? Watch the video and see!
I hope you will be able to pop back tomorrow for a look at some of my pictures of Norway!
The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

You alway's make me look at my die's differently and now i can do the same with my stamp's. You never know you might even save me some money, but then again there is alway's some new die's i could buy LOL. Looking forward to seeing some of your holiday snaps and i hope you had a great time when you were away. Take care today as it's cold and frosty here. Best Wishes. Denise T x

Now this is a great idea and allows a smaller stamp to make as much impact as a larger one - I never seem to have the right sized stamp to fill an aperture but now I know how to make the most of it..
Looking forward to seeing your holiday pics tomorrow
Loved the video and loved the card. Am always dubious about cutting into die cuts so must try harder. Thanks for sharing and good to have you back. Hugs xx
Morning Sue Looking forward to seeing your pics tomorrow. Today's gift is one of those we could easily use for those pesky men in our lives we have to cater for. I really must try letter pressing. I keep promising myself to do this and never seem to get around to it. This is one gift that I defy anyone not to like. Everything is A1 with it.
We I was supposed to get all sorts of things done yesterday when in fact I did nothing. It was one of those days where fingers would not do what they were supposed to and legs didn't seem to belong to me. Hoping for a better day today. To all those in pain or suffering in any way I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Great card, Sue, do like the deco stamp and the Carina border. Must try the letter press technique as it gives such a lovely effect. As always, thank you for the video.

Hi Sue, lovely striking card. Will catch up on the video later with a cup of tea. Lol lynne m xxx
Poochies have now got lemon streaks on their sides as the dopey b's constantly rubbed against the bedroom walls I painted yesterday refusing to move when I called out. It was like a weird sort of dance - me climbing down from the ladder going over to poochies pushing their bums to get them to move while they dug their claws in and locked their legs to stay put, back up the ladder whilst the b's watched and then went back to where they were before. In the end to get things done before I lost the will I barricaded the door so they could see in but not disrupt anymore. When walls were dry put up the bed, base was ready for mattress to go on when Tilly decided it was a good time to jump up, before I could stop her she launched herself upwards. Coming as a total shock to her she landed on the base of the bed which is made up of wooden slats. Her legs went either side of the slats and down to the floor whilst her stomach rested on the slats. Grabbed her off and hugged her tight. When hubby got home told him we had to watch her all night to make sure she hadn't done any damage. One day things will go smoothly and not take double the time when poochies are involved.
Lol and massive hugs to all my craft buddies here. Lynne m & painted ladies x x x x
I love this card, and what a great tip about the sentiment. I have often changed what die I wanted to use because the die is too big for the sentiment. Thank you Sue. Xx

Hello Sue, Thank you for yet another brilliant video, I really enjoyed it, so many techniques and ideas, really liked the idea of filling in the void around the sentiment. I would not have thought to do this, I probably would've dotted a few little flowers in that space. But then, it wouldn't be practical to post it would it! Thank you, thank you for making me think. You are a true inspiration. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of Norway tomorrow.
Hope you're having a good day, Brendan XXX

Hi Sue and all Wilsonettes from a very spring like Lancashire. Hope to get to the end of my comment before my eye's close again ! These 5am start's and endless catching up with cards is taking its toll now, im pooped and double pooped, but I do love video days, sure to keep me alert and interested in all you.do, such a beautiful pick me up. Im loving today's card Sue, I think I need to adopt your border die you used on today's lush card, I know she will be well loved lol. Welcome back Vee, hope your back for good, no im not singing the rest lol. To Sheila, words wont help with the pain and tear's but Im thinking of you. In my thoughts Alison love. Thank you for allowing us into your 'personal time' Sue, I look forward to it. Sending love n hugs to anyone that reads my post today. Lancashire Steph xxx
Hi Sue, That's always my problem my sentiments/stamped images very rarely fit any of my dies, it's so annoying when they are just a smidge too big to look right or the die is massive compared to the stamp. I'll watch the video later to see your tips. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sue What a clever Idea to fill in the empty space with cutting a die to frame. Must remember this It's a beautiful card Sue and thank you for another wonderful Video Take care Hazel G XX
Good morning Sue. Love today's offering. The letterpress background looks wonderful and thanks for the tip about making sentiments look better when the space is a little large for them. Thanks for sharing and keep those videos coming.
Another gorgeous card. Loved the video and your sharing of ideas. Thank you. You don't look much of a messy crafter to me though. I'm terrible, ... but you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs...
I am very much looking forward to seeing your photos Sue. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
Happy 49th Wedding Anniversary to Jess and hubby. Congratulations! I hope you have a lovely day.
hi Sue & friends Todays card is gorgeous as usual, that stamp you have used Is really growing on me! I think that the little idea of putting the little die cut in to fill the space is genius Sue as we don't always have the right size stamp for our topper. I will watch the video later, I ordered your New 8 x 8 embossing folders at the weekend and they arrived yesterday, Oh my word Sue they are fabulous and the emboss perfectly, The Scored Lines folder is another of your Genius creations Sue as the lines go all the way to the centre, meaning that you can use the folder for any size up to the size of the folder. Thank you Lovely lady for making card making so much easier, Hugs, Sandra xxxxx Special thoughts go today to Sheila & Nikki and Cheryl on this very difficult day. Maureen, special thoughts and hugs for you and George and David today x Wendy, have a fab birthday Jess happy anniversary to you and hubby, 49 years, wow! hugs xx My thoughts and hugs also go to anyone else that is poorly or just struggling to get through the day. Love and Hugs Sandra xxxxxxx

Clever idea for filling in the empty space for the greeting. Just this week I found myself trying to figure out how to fill in the space above and below my Easter greeting on my Easter card design. I like your addition of the die cut with the swirls cut down the middle and placed on top and bottom of the greeting. You have inspisred me to use this technique for my Easter cards. Thanks. Looking forward to your Norway photos.

I cut out some largish tags yesterday. I used the side of one of your Florida collection dies to make a lovely scalloped top, then punched a hole with the Cropadile! I'm so chuffed with the results. Thank you for making me think!

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteThank you for yet another brilliant video, I really enjoyed it, so many techniques and ideas, really liked the idea of filling in the void around the sentiment.
Sheila and Nikki, sending you love and prayers.
Alison and your family, hope all goes well in Harrowgate thinking of you.

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteThat's always my problem my sentiments/stamped images very rarely fit any of my dies, it's so annoying when they are just a smidge too big to look right or the die is massive compared to the stamp. I'll watch the video later to see your tips. Thanks for sharing.
Beverley W
Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever Idea to fill in the empty space with cutting a die to frame. Must remember this
It's a beautiful card Sue and thank you for another wonderful Video

ReplyDeleteHi Sue and everyone
Another gorgeous card. Loved the video and your sharing of ideas. Thank you. You don't look much of a messy crafter to me though. I'm terrible, ... but you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs...

Fabulous card Sue, I'll watch the video later. Looking forward to seeing your holiday photos. Pat x
ReplyDeletehi Sue & friends
ReplyDeleteTodays card is gorgeous as usual, that stamp you have used Is really growing on me! I think that the little idea of putting the little die cut in to fill the space is genius Sue as we don't always have the right size stamp for our topper.
I will watch the video later, I ordered your New 8 x 8 embossing folders at the weekend and they arrived yesterday, Oh my word Sue they are fabulous and the emboss perfectly, The Scored Lines folder is another of your Genius creations
Sue as the lines go all the way to the centre, meaning that you can use the folder for any size up to the size of the folder. Thank you Lovely lady for making card making so much easier, Hugs, Sandra xxxxx
Special thoughts go today to Sheila & Nikki and Cheryl on this very difficult day.
Maureen, special thoughts and hugs for you and George and David today x
Wendy, have a fab birthday
Jess happy anniversary to you and hubby, 49 years, wow! hugs xx
My thoughts and hugs also go to anyone else that is poorly or just struggling to get through the day.
Love and Hugs

ReplyDeleteClever idea for filling in the empty space for the greeting.
