  27. GM Sue - great card - I must have a go at this one. You make the piercing look sooo easy! I can do a straight line OK but it's getting those corners to match perfectly that can fox me -so I always feel anxious when I do this technique for some reason. Logic says it should be easy but for some reason it isn't when I try to do it! Think I need to practice more.

What happened to my memory by the way , are there any more Wilsonettes with the same problem!!

Today's card is bright and cheerful to brighten up a dull day. It's clever how this technique tricks the eye into thinking that the lines are complete. I have tried the technique with the ink pads on the craft mat but mine turned out a complete mess, Please can somebody give me advice on how to leave a comment on Sue's video. I don't have problems when leaving comments on other sites I can click like and leave a comment but for some reason I can't on Sue's. Have to get ready they are filming Dr Who here so off to to get his autograph for my nephew hope everyone is well.

  50. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I love how you have put the black card to mat the various layers on to. It really shows off the black parts in the design. I think you are trying to waken me up with the bright colour of the stamping, honest i am awake. It's different from what i am comfortable with but i think i might give it a try Sue as i haven't done this technique yet.
Yes, i noticed a while ago that C&C seem to have a love affair going with Mrs Weightman. They seem to have pushed all others a side and devoted themselves to selling all her ideas. Is she not receiving enough of a wage from them? I sat in one of her demo classes up at Glasgow 2 years ago and there was these to wee lasses about 10 and everytime they asked something she ignored the bairns. The adults got fauned over, but i hate to tell her, but these bairns are her buyers of the future. They are the crafters of the future. I notice that C&C has a number of Scottish customers but i see we're not good enough for them to come up to the major show that we have. Is it to far for their petty cash to run to? i wonder.
Anyway off my soapbox, congratulations to the winners of the blog candy, i hope you have fun with your prize when it arrives.
Thank you for the extra energy yesterday Cameeli, but it got used up very quickly, but i had a great day out. Got 2 of Susan Teirneys flower dies that were reduced to fit my pocket. Hope everyone as a lovely day and the weather is a wee bit better where you are,
    Love and crafty hugs

  57. I love the brightness and freshness of this card and can't wait to give this technique a try could be a good one to use for men using male type stamps.i agree with Norah about Stephanie W. and about C&C not coming to the Glasgow Shows for the past couple of years ( I can't manage myself to the March one as I go on holiday shortly after and don't want to do two trips down, but will really miss not going ) I must admit though I do have a couple of the tattered lace dies and I love how they have a non stick coating and the pieces just fall out I do wish other dies had this coating also.
Hope you all enjoy Sue's video as much as I did it's really great! Have a good day xo

remember you showing us this before

I agree about C&C not coming to Glasgow
as this is my local show but the last
time they came it was Nancy and Leoni
but they only had the cuttlebug and
one of the big cutting machines so
    I don't think
they done very well as we had them I
spent quite a bit of time talking to
them and they were great. but creative exspresions doesn't come either
so you'll have to have a word Sue as

  77. A fabulous fresh card to cheer up a dreary-looking day here in Suffolk. I had to watch the video as I thought there must be some incredibly complicated way to stamp each layer separately then somehow get them all to line up. Didn't even occur to me that you would do them all at once. I love this idea and will have to give it a try.

I need to practice my piercing as I always end up with a wobbly bit. This is a different style of card and it's good to see such variety of techniques. Thanks Sue.

Today's card is really gorgeous, Love everything about it.I saw you demo this technique on C & C a while ago but have never tried it. Having watched you on this brilliant video it's definitely one I'm going to give a try, you make it look so easy, also with the piercing - I've had a few results where I've been just about okay with it, but when you do it you make it look so easy.
Thank you, for all your hard work, energy and enthusiasm you put into everything you do, we are the fortunate ones who in the end reap the benefits - THANK YOU.

  110. Hi Sue and Wilsonettes. Thank you for the lovely card today and of course your very helpful and informative tutorial. I also remember watching this stamping technique a while ago. Many a time I've reached for today's stamp, but had to put it on the back burner for now. Its a beautiful way of stamping Sue, and I will try it one day soon (I hope) need to shake myself up a little and tell myself to get a grip ! I must also admit that I need more practice with my pearcing ruler ! How can something that looks so chuffin easy peasy send you 'gaga' ? I swear the pearcing naughty fairy from my left shoulder jumps down and adds a sneaky extra when Im giving my hands a shake out ! Oh well, maybe I should jot down the various techniques I want to try when I can make myself craft again, like I should make a template folder of the dies I have (such a brilliant idea)
Hope all our lovely ladies are ok today. Our blog is full of TREASURE'S that I call friends and family - with momma being Mrs. W. : )

  116. Hi Sue, Enjoyed watching today's video especially the piercing technique. Like many other Wilsonettes, I also have problems when trying this out. I can manage 2 sides fine but have trouble matching up at the end. But practice makes perfect or so they say so back to the 'piercing board'. Must try using my stamps to create your 3d effect. Love it. Hugs Pauline A x

  122. Very different technique today Sue..I do like stamping and will have to get my supplies out again.

Dont' go to craft shows any more as people there seem to have very sharp elbows and being small I get jostled about when trying to look at things.
    Congratulations to the blog winners.

  126. Hi Sue. Not done this with stamping but have used printed image and cut with circle dies into three. Then laid the bottom one flat, raised the second on foam pads and then the centre on double pads. came out quite good. The recipient was pleased with it anyway.
