Family And Friends


 Good Sunday morning all!  They do come around quickly, don't they!  Today's card is from the Heartfelt Creations bundle on the show and far more traditional than yesterday's card (the pendulum has swung all the way back to the other side, huh?! LOL)  I started by creating a split background.  I embossed milk coloured card using the Patchwork Embossibility folder on the right side of the card.  I cut a strip of soft gold card and stamped it with the Christmas Sentiment Circles stamp set by Heartfelt Creations.  I used a clear Perfect Medium pad and gold embossing powder for a tone on tone look.  I used a piece of red striped grosgrain ribbon between the two pieces of the background and tied a bow at the top.  I added one of the antique gold buttons and some metallic Bakers Twine to top off my bow.    On milk card, I stamped my sentiment from the Justrite set called Inner Thoughts and gold embossed it.  I cut it out with the Splendid Circles die and cut away the edge leaving just the piercing holes.  I cut a second Splendid Circles die from the soft gold card and matted it my sentiment upon it.  Using the SunKissed Poinsettia set, I stamped it on the Rich Red card and gold embossed it.  I cut it out with the matching die, giving me enough flowers to layer up for my floral element.  I stamped it again on soft gold card and cut it out and used the leaves from the set and added them around the edge of the flowers.  I finished the flowers with flatback pearls to the centres.    A final double mat out of soft gold card with a pierced inner layer and a pearl swirl to the upper corner finished this card.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size.

    Dear Sue This card is wonderful and so pleased you are showing Christmas cards because I am trying to get in zone for making them.

    I have loved your shows and big thank you for doing poinsettia stamp with the template. I loved the stamp but was struggling to line the die up!

    I have watched as well as recorded the shows for future reference so another big thank you because it must be exhausting.

    Traditional colours but slightly different shades to the usual red & green Love it & who'd have thought that actually pointsettias are traditionally pink! As you said in one of the shows which I have loved Sadly can't afford anything at mo but my need list is growing & have a birthday just around the corner so the hints I've been dropping may have been noticed Congrats to winners Take care all x

    Love this card!! Everything about it. The saying is so special. All the details--the ribbon, bow, poinsettias. I sure would be delighted to receive a card like this in the mail. But I am the only one in my family who makes cards--everyone else store buys them :(

    Absolutely stunning card, and the red and gold colours are fab.

    I was so impressed with your high kick yesterday. The last time I had my leg that high was when I fell backwards over the dog, and my legs went right over my head. Luckily Berkeley (the dog ) was fine, that put a whole new meaning to being flexible.

    Very beautiful and yes more towards the traditional, but still unusual. I like the split background and intend to try this myself in different ways. My faves so far in the Christmas selection are 'Define naughty'and 'Christmas Angel'. Your shows have been fantastic, as ever!

    Your shows today have been wonderful, I especially loved your techniques involving the masks, glitters and iced snow - I have my supplies already in the pipeline. Equally fabulous is todays card, it gives me that warm, fuzzy 'Christmas is coming' feeling!! So traditional, just so perfect.

    Hi Sue. An Absolutely beautiful card today !! I really love everything about it. Colours are great, Bow is just fab !! I recently bought the justrite inner thoughts stamp set. They are beautiful. The poinsettias are lovely but I am happy with my spellbinder ones. Your shows, demos and samples are all fantastic. You are so inspiring. I do hope you will be doing the 7pm show after all the sellout stuff earlier. Your ideas are great and I love watching you make such beautiful cards. Congrats to all today's winners.
