Cheer Up/ Sneak Peek

Good Sunday morning!  This is the last sneak peek for the week but hopefully you will all tune in for the shows today at noon and 5pm to see all the other samples!  I have tried to show you a bit from each bundle, with this being last but not least.  It is from the Let Your Soul Sing set by Justrite.  I loved playing with these as anything silhouette just floats my boat!  Before diving in to the card detail, I also wanted to say that I see that we have hit our blog candy goal and I will get that drawn and posted on separate blog post on Monday afternoon.  If you haven't emailed me your postal details to be entered, you still have time.  I only need you to do that once, not every time we have a drawing.  On to the card.  I stamped my sentiment in black Archival ink in the corner of a piece of coconut white card.  I embossed the card with my Heart Lattice embossing folder (which is back in stock and on the show today, however, stock has gone very quickly so this may be it for them again for awhile).  For my focal element, I used a Timeless Rectangle die and cut it out of coconut white card.  While still in the die, I inked it with Eggplant Adirondack (yes I really like that colour!).  I popped it out of the die and used post-it notes to mask off the edge just inside of the pierced feature.  I stamped the flowery branch from the Let Your Soul Sing set in black Archival ink.  I stamped the single flower using the eggplant ink and the bird on the branch.  Now, on to confession time, in my typical klutzy fashion, I smeared it with the side of my hand while I was stamping but I had so much invested in it already that I decided I could add a few bits here and there and cover it.  I used the matching eggplant/aubergine coloured felt and cut some tiny flowers (I used the tiny flowers from the Heartfelt Scalloped Posey set as they give you eight of them, so handy!) and added some tiny pearls to the centres.  There are probably a few more in the corner that I would have liked, but I can live with that! LOL  I just hate starting over when I am that far along, don't you!  I used some mounting foam to give the focal piece dimension and added it above the sentiment.  I scattered some pearls around the sentiment, just because I thought it would add a bit of a lightness to it and finished with my double white pierced mat layers.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.

More fun for today as it's Sunday so time for this weeks Comment Game winners to be announced.  They are:

Jackie Trinder!!!
Carol Sadler!!!
Jean Deane!!!
Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com  to confirm your address and claim your prize.

Don't forget: Shows today at noon to 2pm and 5 to 6pm and also check back on Monday afternoon to see if you have won the big blog candy drawing!  All for now, Sue x

  19. Good morning Sue. Today's card is really beautiful. When first viewed I thought that the stamping was sunken on the card but it was the eggplant shading giving that impression. The felt flowers really do their job. I'm looking or ward to seeing you after. It's been too long since you were on our screens. Xx

Elegant/soft and slightly victorian in feel for today's gift. It's beautiful - I love the format and the colour scheme - since I managed to get today's background folder I find I am using it more than any of my others - it took me a long time to track one down but was well worth the effort and time. Wouldn't today's gift make a fantastic C.card in seasonal colours!
Now going to set my recorder for midday. Congratulations to today's very lucky winners.

The felt flowers add to the image giving texture and dimension, so a happy accident! x

  136. Hello Sue. I've just been watching you on C&C and loved the demos. This card is so much prettier in real TV life with brighter colours and you can almost feel the texture. Had to have these stamps as they are just adorable. Well done and catch you again later. xx

  140. Hi Sue! It's been wonderful to see you back on the screens of C&C and "WOW!" what an array of beautiful cards you have made! You are such an inspiration plus it's nice to know that no matter who were are we can all make mistakes! You very cleverly covered them up with the little flowers and I love those random pearls on the embossed piece. Just beautiful. The lovely Becca is also very talented. Thank you for showing us her creations too. They were just beautiful. I do love the heart embossing folder, the background stamp and die that's together....it would be never ending! Loving the eggplant colour too....Congratulations to all the winners! Wonderful! Enjoy your prizes! xx Love Karen xx

  152. Hi Sue
Your card is lovely and I wouldn't have noticed your mistake if you hadn't pointed it out. It was very well disguised.
I watched your shows and was totally mesmerised as usual.
You mentioned having to use a certain type of pricking mat and a certain size of pricking tool. Do you know where they can be obtained from??
Looking forward to seeing you again when you are back on our screens.Your shows seem so far between
