Hi crafters! Another experiment in nipping and tucking with my die cuts! I started out by layering up from the back forward, a Grand Decorative Labels One cut from coconut white card. The next layer is actually four of the Gilded Gate Two from the Die D-lites. I have arranged them so one gate is peeking out of all four sides (you can remove the gate doors and use them for another project too and it will be less bulky) To top that, I have cut a Grand Stately Circle die out of blush card. To fill the next layer, I used the Elegant Labels Four die and cut it, taking just the top pieces and then putting them back together with a pearl to hide the cuts. Another of the Die D-Lites is the next layer, it is the Medallion Eight cut out of white card. Finally, I have stamped my sentiment from the Creative Expressions stamp set called Classic Sentiments in black Archival ink and embossed it with clear powder. I cut it out with the Petite Labels Die D-Lite set. I left it in the die and embossed it with the Crazy Daisy embossing folder from Couture Creations to give it some texture. Then I inked it with Spun Sugar distress ink before removing it from the die. I seated it in the centre of my card to complete my focal element. I put together a card base of blush card with a thin mat of black and a double mat of white card with a paper pierced inner mat. So easy and a fun way to have a play with your die cuts too! Finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
This is stunning and very sculptured. Love it.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful and very victorian feel to day's gift. I bought the grand label and not the circle and am now wishing I had bought both - ah well isn't that the way!!!
I really like the colour scheme and although it makes a statement it is also gentle.
I have kept my grand labels ready to use on my C.cards so it will be getting a lot of use.
