Lacy Special Day



Good Sunday morning to everyone!  A real bonanza in the Comment Game winners this week, but first the card!  This one was part of the Heartfelt Creations shows from earlier in the year (Feb. I think)  I found a nice raspberry card in my stash for my background colour.  I cut two of the Decorative Lace Border die from Heartfelt Creations out of milk coloured card.  I glued them facing each other on my background to create a lacy looking design.  Using the lovely Delicate Aster dies, I cut several sized flowers out of the raspberry card.  I stamped them once cut with the matching stamps.  For the single largest flower, I added some micro beads to one of the flowers as an accent.  I cut several of the dies that are intended as flower centres and made small flowers out of them instead.  I added flatback pearls to the centres of those.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with one of the smaller dies in the Labels 20 set.  I inked it lightly while in the die with Raspberry Adirondack ink.  As a decorative accent, I cut one of the tags from the Fancy Tag Two set in raspberry card and sat my sentiment on it in the upper corner of the card.  I added a bow tied out of cream coloured tulle and finished it with a heart Dazzler.  A double layered mat of milk card with a pierced inner mat completed the card.  I think this one would be very pretty all in cream for a tone on tone look, sort of giving it a vintage feel.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 7 1/2" in size.

    GM Sue - love this - but not sure about the location of the net bow - think I would have put it bottom left with the flowers but what do I know?!.... Haven't got the aster dies so will have to improvise on those - lovn the raspberry red.

    aha the infamous Asters die. Didnt we have problems getting those Sue lol but all was there in the end thanks to you. I love this card. The heartfelt creations die is always a winner either as it is complete or cut up into different elements. love the colours on this. Raspberry is such a warm colouryet still feminine.

    What a beautiful card - the die makes it look so victorian and very delicate. I also love the colour scheme and guess what wouldn't it look just as good with Teal/cream!! Will be having a go.

    I dedicate this card to my beautiful little cat Purdy who passed away at 1.15am today. I sat with her and she purred till the end hence her name. My workroom is so quiet as she used to run in every morning and sit and purr like a little motor bike. God bless you Purdy.

    I just love this colour combination, and especially the flowers. The whole colour is suggesting Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream to me - I don't know why, but I love Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream, so it's probably a food connection thing :)

    I really like todays card. The lace die is so pretty and reminds me of lace curtains with the beautiful arrangement of daisies in front(imagination working overtime) just missing the vase. The images that your works of art bring to mind is fantastic and takes us on great journeys to explore for ourselves. Thank you Sue for you inspiration again.

    Hello everybody! Gorgeous card Sue! I really do love the raspberry card and the aster dies. I was only thinking about those yesterday! Just stunning and like you say there is tone on tone as well as in a few different colours too. Yellow and white has just come to mind....mmmmm! I saw Sam at 5pm yesterday. I was in awe watching her demo's. She made it look so simple and wow, a gorgeous card! Hope you're having a wonderful time still Sue. It's been sunny here again!
