Hello bloggers! I love the simplicity of this card. I had a couple of flowers leftover from another project I did awhile back and I decided to see what they would look like if I attached them to some white wrapped wire that I had. I wasn't sure if they were too heavy for it but as it turns out, it was just about right! I used the krinkly kraft paper to make my flowers out of. I cut them out using the flower dies from the Jewelled Flower and Flourish set. I added a bit of white paint from the Ranger Snow Cap Dabber to the tips of the flowers. I layered up several of the small with the larger ones and put a brad through the centre. I wrapped my wire around the brad before opening up the legs on them. That secured my wire stem so no glue was even needed. I made a background by cutting a Fancy Lattice die and gluing it to a piece of coconut white card. I used the Grand Rectangles to cut a frame which I mounted with some 3D foam pieces for dimension over my lattice background. I stamped my sentiment on kraft card using a clear perfect medium pad and heat embossed with white powder. I used the two smallest sizes of the Resplendent Rectangles to cut a frame for my sentiment. I put a bit of mounting foam on the back edges and used the sentiment to cover my flower's wire stems. I curled the wire at the ends for a whimsical look. The flowers are not attached so they are free to move about when you hold the card up, which also gives the entire card a sort of whimsical feel as well. I added a double white mat and pierced the inner layer to give the piece a framed and finished look. A really fun card, I hope you will give it a try! All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteLovely card.
Love the movement you get with this card Sue! Lots of my cards have bits that move :-). I have all the dies to make my own version, but I think I can see mine in one of my spellbinder flower pot dies & I'll emboss a design on the front of the pot & sit it in front of the lattice like its a decorative fence panel. Your version is very elegant looking though. Wish my Kraft paper hadn't gone astray in the delivery yesterday... Claire xxx
