Latticed Card

Good morning all!  This is a classically simple layout for a card.  It hardly needs any explanation at all, but I can't tell you how many times I get emails saying that they hadn't thought about that or had forgotten about something or a post that I had put up had reminded them, etc.  This is one of those kinds of cards.  I think we forget, far too often, that we can change a die cut in some way to use it.  Sometimes a simple act of cutting it in pieces to use, changes the entire way a card comes out.  I have used the basic Lattice extendable background die template here and simply cut it into three sections for a bit of interest on a very simple card.  Think about using bits of your dies as borders or inside frames you have created.  This die is perfect for that sort of thing.  I just matted each section with white and black card to help pop it a bit.  I cut one of the butterflies from Les Papillons, just the lacy form for the corner of the card.  I used some of my black rhinestone swirls across the card, which always works so well as a sort of trail left by the butterfly so you get that sense of movement.  I added a black seam binding ribbon around the card and tied a messy bow, topped by one of my flatback pearl embellishments.  I stamped my sentiment on a separate piece of coconut white card which I used as a base for my three sections.  I added my final mats of white card and pierced the inner mat for a nice defining frame for my card.  This card can be put together very quickly when in need and it will work with just about any sentiment or colour you want to use with it.
