Peace

Morning all!  You know that I love Kraft card, so it shouldn't be a surprise to see it on my Chnristmas cards!  I used a piece of My Mind's Eye decorative kraft card as my background on this one.  I stamped the word sentiment in black in the upper corner and embossed it.  I used a white gel pen to give it more definition. I used the pen to do some faux stitching around the edge also.   I stamped the lower corner with a swirl stamp using clear perfect medium and embossed with white powder.  I cut one of the snowflake pendants in white card.  I cut a smaller snowflake using white card that had sticky adhesive on it.  I peeled the backing paper and adhered luna silver mica flakes to the snowflake die cut.  I mounted this atop the larger one and placed a flatback pearl in the centre.  I mounted the snowflake in the upper corner of the card with mounting foam.  I used my scissors to distress the edge of the background card and inked it lightly with black soot distress ink.  I matted it with black card that I pierced to finish off a quick and easy Christmas card.  All for now, Sue x

    What a great card card Sue. I think it would be a good card to make in large numbers and ring the changes slightly by changing the placement, using a different sentiment etc.

    Love the card, but maybe with a different background.

    I have already emailed Sue to say thank you for the wonderful box of goodies that arrived for me yesterday as the winner of the Blog Candy. But I wanted to let you all know how generous she had been, I had 3 sets of dies, 6 sheets of stamps as well as lots of ribbons, inks, glitters and extras.

    I am lovin this card I like craft card and to team it up with white looks stunning. The snowflake is gorgeous lovin how you have used the snowflake pendant and the new one together with the luna flakes

    Morning Sue, This is a truly fantastic card. Just love the flourish, so striking, the snowflake with mica flakes is beautiful, the faux stitching sets the whole card off. Just stunning and, for once, I'm not commenting about no bow. Truly stunning card. I'm doing an encaustic art class this morning, I was so intrigued by the encaustic art that your friend sent to you and you incorporated it into your cards, it was beautiful, so keep your fingers crossed for me ha ha.     Well done AdrienneQ, you're a very lucky lady by the sound of it and you are so right that Sue is a generous lady.

    Love the snowflake and the layout of the card and the white gel pen around the sentiment is perfect but I'm not sure of the background paper. Perhaps a different colour?? but that's just my taste xx

    I love the layout of this card and it would work well in traditional christmas colours as well.

    What a georgeous card the snowflake is beautiful and the sentiment, faux stitching and flourish really make this card stand out. I also feel it would look great in white with Ice Blue (just a hint) behind the snowflake and senitment, its yet another card going on my list to try.

    Another super card I want to make. I like using Kraft card, it makes everything look refreshingly different I think.

    Lovely card Sue! I've got some white embossing powder which was given to me & I've never used it....! Oooo, now I will on a number of things! Love those silver lunar flakes, they look stunning on the small snowflake giving it a bit of bling! A nice simple, lovely card xx Love Karen xx
