Hi blog friends! A monochrome card using some leftover pieces of decorative papers and a few other of my favourite products for today's card. I started by picking a couple of papers (one from Graphic 45 and the other one was a music script paper, but I can't recall where it was from). I matted both with milk card and black card and taped them to a larger milk card background piece. I added a black Vintage Lace border on one side. I adhered strips of self adhesive paper to either side, peeled the backing paper to reveal the sticky adhesive. I poured silver luna mica flakes over them for a glitzy edge. I stamped my sentiment on milk card and cut it out with my Vintage Lace accent die. While still in the die, I inked it with Black Soot distress ink lightly. I cut two of the Vintage Lace Motifs in black card and nipped away the outer ring of the design, creating a smaller motif shape. I mounted these diagonally and placed the sentiment die cut in the centre. I added a double bow tied from offwhite silky crush ribbon with a fancy button centre. I added some pearl swirls to the upper and lower parts of the card. I cut a wide border card and using the Cosmic Shimmer pearl PVA glue, I added a paved pearl edge to the card. You can see a close up below of this technique as well as the mica flake border. A lot of bling, I know, but I think it looks rather blingtastic! What's your verdict? All for now, Sue x
The blingtastic is fantastic. I love this card and it is a great way to use up leftovers. Well done, Sue

Morning Sue - v. OTT! I think its the bow that makes it just a tad too much for me. I have been meaning to ask you what do you put inside your cards? surely not just a hand written message when the front is so ornate? Do you have any good ideas for inserts that match or complement the front perhaps?..
