Hi blog friends! That backlog of cards that I have mentioned recently does include a bunch of Christmas cards too. Sorry about that if you just aren't ready for it yet (I know how you feel, really I do!). This one is a bit of a departure for me as I rarely use metallic card, but I just had this in my head so I had to run with it! I have used the Spellbinders 2011 HeirloomOrnament as a focal image. I stamped it with a swirl and clear ink and embossed it for texture. I then cut a faux nestie in black to mat it with. I stamped two stars in black from our Christmas Swirls set and embossed them and cut them out to mount on the ornament. I used that same star to stamp all over the background in clear ink and clear embossing powder. I had some fancy ribbon and lace in my stash that I was dying to use so I thought this was the card for it. I added my sentiment on one of the ribbon banners, then cut another one in black as a shadow. I pierced around the edge and matted it with black for balance. I added a piece of black cording and gold cording to the top of the ornament to complete the card. Me likes even if it is a bit different for me, what do you think? All for now, Sue x
