Button Floral Sample Card |
I had a few minutes to spare so I thought I'd put up a pic of one of the samples from the show on Monday. It didn't seem to me that many of the samples got a chance to be seen. This is a really quick easy card using several nestie shapes layered up with black faux nesties behind them and all decorated with my favourite white inksential pen dotting the edges. I did a boo-boo when I was making this card as I meant to use the thanks a bunch phrase as the stem for the flower so it would mirror the sentiment stamped on the oval nestie, but I grabbed the wrong stem so it's a best wishes to you stem! Oh well, I had already colored the flower and glued on the button so it stayed. (Just pretend that you didn't notice, okay!?) See what happens when I stamp with out my glasses on! Right now, I am still scheduled for another show on Saturday at noon. I will keep you updated on any last minute changes to that schedule so check back. All for now, Sue x
I thought that the idea of using sentiments for stems was very clever. Loved the show but there is always too much of the C&C presenters and not enough of the guests.
ReplyDeletethis is fab and i agree with Pauline the stems are wicked xx
ReplyDeleteA great card love these stamps xxx
ReplyDeleteOooh, a second helping of Sue in one week!! how lucky are we... I did email in, but it wasn't read out, it was very complimentary!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree with PaulineC about not hearing enough from the guests.
Gorgeous card samples as always..

I agree with the above, keep saying you need 2hrs then let you have 2hrs. You always inspire Sue and i just love your use of colour.I could watch you for hours. Look forward to Saturday

Lovely cards Sue. Yippee I am going to Glasgow SECC. My first craft fair. As you are on C&C on Saturday, I don't suppose you will be there. But never mind I have the TV primed and ready for recording. Please. please can we have a demo on how you tie those wonderful bows, I really struggle with that skill.

Hi Sue, A beautiful card which ever sentiment you put on. Loved the show. I agree they should let you do more demonstrating, and less of talking over you. Looking forward to Saturday, you are such an inspiration and share such great ideas with us. Bought the stamps just waiting for them to come, so I can play. Hugs x ChrisB
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card whichever sentiment supports the bloom, you are an inspiration Sue, Thank you:0) xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,

So glad you posted this,I've got visitors so missed the show, at least I get to see a lovely sample.
ReplyDeletePS. I've got an update on the butterscotch chips......
I was so wowed by the rest of the card that I didn't notice the sentiment oops until you pointed it out. The black and white borders really are eyecatching. Once again, I love all the elements of this card, the colours, the shapes, the papers... perfection! Just call the sentiment oops your Persian flaw.
ReplyDeleteWow - I adore this card and so pleased you have added it hear as I missed it on the show - I love the sentiment stems and everything about the design - thanks for sharing

Lovely card and a great show. Love, Julia xxx
ReplyDeleteReally didn't notice the "mistake" until you pointed it out!! It's not a mistake. it's a design feature! Do wish C&C would let you get on with the demo's instead of waffling even though I know it's their job!
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to the workshop in November.
I think this card is really neat
ReplyDeleteLovely card, I have these stamps so cant wait to give it a go, looking foward to Saturdays show too!! What a treat. I too would love some bow demos, there must be a trick to tying them. I particularly liked the idea of the 6 petal flower you made, I have little ones of these now lined up on my craft desk waiting for the UTE treatment!
