Fondest Wishes

Hello bloggers!  I selected a piece of raspberry card to use for the background to today's card.  Using the Snowflake Scalloped Border
I cut four edge pieces out of black card.  I crisscrossed them to create a pretty side border and glued them down both sides of the card. For the focal element, I cut the outer die from the Harper die set in white.  Next I cut the Jayne die in black and matted it with raspberry card.  I cut the centre out to create a frame.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached it across the Harper die.  I cut the Butterfly Cluster with a piece of black card on top of a piece of white card.  I coloured the design on the white card with markers, then glued the black die cut on top.  I seated it at the bottom of the Jayne die.  I cut the Fondest Wishes sentiment in black then glued it to the inside of the Jayne frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  5. The raspberry is a tad too bright for me but I love the layout and, of course, the sentiment which is special to me as it conveys a wish of wellbeing and happiness. WakeyL

  7. Hi Sue.
I'm going along with WakeyL on this treat you've shared with us, the main colour choice isn't one I'd use as a base colour but I use it a lot with you're flower dies placing them on a quiet, relaxing plain background and it shows the flowers off beautifully. The design, the overall creation is you, its lovely and using softer gentle background colours would be the perfect treat for anyone.
    Stay well.
    Be happy.

  8. A bit late again, but have been working on some more trivia for you lol...This is a beautiful post, though not sure I'd use the pink background only due to the fact I don't really like pink! However if it was for someone that did like the colour then pink it would be. I am really loving the plate collection...
