Let The Adventure Begin
Hello bloggers! I used Jamie's Metallic Waxes to create today's background. I used a dauber and picked up some of the Rain Drop wax and spread it across the card in several spots. Then I went back in with the Copper Pot wax and added some of that colour. Finally, I used the Gold Bullion wax and added just a couple spots for highlights. I rubbed the piece with a dry piece of kitchen roll. I cut the fish from the Fishing Rod set about twenty times in white and glued them across the card like a school of fish. I cut a brown strip and added it across the card. Using the Double Pierced Circles, I cut a brown mat, then added to it a smaller white circle. I cut the Let The Adventure Begin sentiment and glued it to the circle. Below the sentiment, I added a single fish coloured with my paint markers in various colours. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

God morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a great male card today with the background and fish swimming around, very clever.

ReplyDeleteA fabulous card for anyone who loves fish. I love how you have done the background. Yvonne xx
Good Morning Sue and all that visit today what a great card today. I have saved all these fishing cards as my son goes fishing as often as he can .. He loves the outdoor peace and quiet especially early mornings. His birthday is Christmas day. So after all the mad rush at that time of year you can imagine how grateful I am to have these cards to choose from for him. Beautiful background work too. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone Please stay safe and well 🙏. Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.
ReplyDeleteAnother fisherman card great card, will you do other sports in the future Sue?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we could use the fishes as set in an aquarium or even the ocean.

Love the background you have created. Waxes are often not the easiest to work. WakeyL
ReplyDeleteA great way to use the fish die without screaming fishing if that makes sense. Love it 🥰
