Gone Fishing

Hello crafters!  I started by cutting the In The Garden Shadowbox die in white.  I added mounting foam to the back of it and attached a piece of white card to it.  I cut the Fishing Rod and fish in the tall thin box.  I cut the Fishing Frame and nipped away the fishing basket and fishing net.  I used markers to colour them and added them to the larger box next to the fishing rod.  I cut three lures and coloured them with my paint markers and put one in each of the small boxes at the top.  I cut the To A "Reel"y Cool Guy sentiment in both black and brown card.  I shadowed it and glued it into the last box.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I cut a white frame and added it over the Shadowbox die.   I also cut the Gone Fishing sign off the Fishing Frame,  I used Walnut Stain around it and a black marker for the words and attached it the white frame around the shadowbox.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  7. Hi Sue.
Although we dont have any sports fans or lovers of fishing in the family its good that you give us ideas for male themed cards considering we ALL seem to moan and look skyward when asked for such a card for the 'awkward' male (my word, I'd be strung up for using such words regarding the gender issue on other blogs/websites) so I'll leave it there before the can of worms spoil this lovely treat you've shared today.
    Hope all is well.
