Season's Greetings

Hello bloggers!  I started with a piece of white card.  I used the Brick Wall Mask and inked through it with Weathered Wood Distress ink.  I dded a piece of white vellum over it to soften the look.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles to make a multi-layered frame.  I cut a white frame first then added a black gloss frame to the top of it.  I added it with mounting foam over the background.  I cut the door from the Yuletide Welcome die  set out of black gloss card.  I backed it in white and added a green wreath with a red bow.  I cut two of the toy soldiers and coloured them and added them to either side of the door.  I cut two of the wall lamps and added them above the toy soldiers.  Using the pine sprig, I cut five of them in green.  I glued them across the top of the frame and added red bows to each section.  I cut the Season's Greeting sentiment in red and added it to a white shadow backing piece.  The sentiment was added to the bottom of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.

All for now, Sue x

  1. Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a stunning creation, yes there is lots of die cutting but the end result certainly shows how good they are and when put together on the card, well this is one of those special people cards. Love it.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  11. Hi Sue, I loved this card and the die set on launch. I hadn't realised that you used velum over the brick wall background, certainly not something that I would have thought about but it works beautifully.
