Enjoy Your Retirement
Hello blogger! I started today's card by sponging Distress Oxide inks across the card using a smoothie. I used a combination of Tumbled Glass, Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks. Using the Birch Tree Forest die, I cut it out of slate grey card and extended it and cut it again making it a larger piece. I used the Stitched Hills & Clouds and cut it in white to create a snowy hill. I glued it across the bottom of the card. I cut the Primrose Cottage out of Periwinkle Blue card and the door and roof were cut out of slate grey and added to the cottage. I added the cottage to the scene with mounting foam. I cut two small deer from the Winter Wonderland die set and glued them next to the cottage. I cut the Happy Retirement sentiment out of wordie sheets and added it with mounting foam. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6" x 6 3/4" in size.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. What a lovely card, I really love how you have created the sky. That would be my dream, to live in a country cottage in the middle of nowhere although it is not very practical when you get old Lol
