Let It Snow

Hi bloggers!  I started today's card with a piece of white card.  I used the Let It Snow stamp from the Santa Stamp set and stamped it in black randomly all over the card.  I used Peacock Feathers Distress ink and sponged it from the edges of the card inward, leaving the centre white.  Next I cut the outer die from the Crystal Kaleidoscope in white , then cut the same die out of white card covered with a piece of sticky adhesive sheet on it.  Once cut, I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz for a snowy look.  I added it to the outer die cut then attached  the entire die to the middle of the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Let It Snow sentiment out of both Ocean card and Black card.  I shadowed the sentiment and glued it across the middle of the die cut.  to add a bit more sparkle around the card, I ran a bead of Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue around the edges of the card, then sprinkled it with Iced Snow and allowed it to dry.  I completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2"  in size.

Just to let everyone know that I am fine and no real damage to our home either.  We have a couple of old trees that fell, but they are not causing any issues at all where they are.  The city of Tampa and surrounding areas took the brunt of the storm, however, and have massive damages and outages everywhere.  If you have friends or family there, please try to reach out and see if you can get in touch.  My thoughts and prayers for all of those who suffered loss from Milton and Helene as well.    Our hurricane season does not end until Nov 30th, so this may not even be over just yet.  I will let out a big sigh of relief once we get to the end of November for everyone in Florida and surrounding States, it is causing PTSD in all of us!  All for now,  Sue x

  9. So pleased to hear you are safe & well Sue. The damage to the Tampa area is so sad to see & our thoughts & prayers go out to everyone affected. We are so lucky that we don’t really see extremes of weather even though we grumble about it from time to time!

  11. Hi Sue

Lovely card. I’m so pleased you gave us an update to say you’re safe and don’t have much damage. So terrible for all those affected more severely. We were on holiday once (not in America) and caught the tail end of a hurricane and that was really scary, would hate to experience another. I really feel for everyone affected.
