Tis The Season

Hi bloggers!  I selected a piece of white card and embossed it with the Nordic Tiles embossing folder.  Next I cut a multi-layered frame out of white card.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached it to another piece of white card.  I cut the fireplace from the Cosy Fireside Christmas die set out of tan card.  I used Gathered Twigs distress ink around the edges and added a brown mantle to it. I added a black backing to it then taped it into place inside the frame.   I cut the fire out of tan card and used markers to colour the fire.  I cut the wreath out of green card and added a red bow to it.  I cut the Christmas tree in green and coloured the ornaments with markers.  I added it to the side of the fireplace.  Using the swags, I cut them in green and ran them along the tops of both frames.  I cut red bows to go at each join between them.  I cut the Tis The Season sentiment out of both red and black card.  I shadowed it then glued it to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.

All for now, Sue x
