Merry Christmas

Hello crafters!  I started with a piece of clear acetate for today's card.  I covered the acetate with a sticky adhesive sheet.  Using the Stylish Poinsettia die, I cut about a dozen or so of the poinsettias and laid them down on the sticky sheet so they did not over lap, but were as tightly grouped as possible.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the remaining exposed sticky areas.   I cut a white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles and glued the acetate to the frame then added mounting foam to raise. it.  I added the frame to a piece of red card.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles again, but this time, I cut a thin white frame, added mounting foam to the back of it and attached it to a piece of red card.  I added this to the acetate in the middle of the background.  I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment in white and glued it inside the thin frame.  The card was completed with white and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8 1/2"  in size.

All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a beautiful card and the way you have made it is something I have not done myself, will have to investigate this, although I don't like getting messy as such I will have a go.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good Morning Sue. Please forgive me for not posting over the last few days. We have been on the first dance festival of the year, brilliant time but no wifi.
Today's card. I love what you have done here and can't wait to try this out. Will it work with any floral dies. I will be trying it out. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏. Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Hi Sue. Love how you have created the background for your card today. It is always great to get new ideas for different techniques. I think this is a really tasteful card for those who do not want all the bells and whistles on the cards they receive.

Hi Sue, I love this clean and contemporary style card, I have not tried this type of background before using acetate rather than card and think I will have to experiment as it is most effective.
