For You

Hello bloggers!  I decided that I wanted to do a letterpress technique for today's card.  I found a nice pale yellow pigment ink in my craft stash.  I used a Lemonade Adirondack pigment pad (unfortunately it has been discontinued) and inked the inside of the Art Deco Arches embossing folder.  I added my piece of white card to the folder and ran it through the embossing machine.  The ink then is transferred to the floor of the card.   I cut the Floral Extravaganza die in yellow and created a single flower, with a black centre.  I seated it in the lower corner area of the card and added white leaves as accents.  I cut the Pierced Flag die in white and added it from the flower across the card.  I cut the Art Deco For You sentiment in black and glued it to the flag die cut.  I added a black mat to the entire piece. The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/4" in size.

All for now, Sue x

  1. Good Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, what a brilliant sample today, we often forget out the letterpress way of doing things and yes the ink is discontinued but I am sure lots of your followers have still got some, (yes like me) and can have a go at making this sample, brilliant once again.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  8. Hi Sue. What a lovely card today, love the background. I always forget about the letterpress technique (probably because you then have to clean all the ink off the embossing folder) but this folder lends itself perfectly to this technique.

  15. Love this card. It’s a lovely colour and the flower is just enough. I still have a number of Adirondack inks and use them regularly. X
