Silent Night

Good Sunday morning all!  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Diamond Poinsettia Embossing folder.  Next I cut the Stained Glass Bells die starting with the largest die.  I cut it in white and backed it with a piece of white vellum.  From the back of the vellum, I coloured the leaves green and the berries red.  I cut the middle die in white and backed it with vellum.  I used a red marker on the back of the vellum to give it   candy cane stripes.    I cut the Bell die in white and backed it in vellum.  I used markers on the back to colour in the bell design.  I layered up all the sections and cut the Silent Night sentiment from a Christmas Wordie sheet.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

A beautiful post today and love how the vellum just takes the edge off the colours used. Think this effect would also be good using lilacs/blues and silver/grey for the colder Xmas colours…
