Good Sunday morning all! I selected three colours of card from my cut piece box and used them to make the background. I cut amethyst, raspberry and teal card into one half inch strips. I covered a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet then laid down all the strips, alternating the colours. Next I cut the Art Deco Ornate Tile out of gold mirror card. I added a white background behind it and began to paper piece the colours into it. I cut the die again out of teal, raspberry and amethyst card and used the fall away pieces to paper piece them into the die. I cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment out of Amethyst and black card. I shadowed the sentiment then glued it to the centre of the card. I added it with mounting foam to the background. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Does anyone know if STEPHANIE is ok. I haven't seen any comments from her since I got back from our holiday. I hope she is ok.

Hi Sue. What a lovely card design again today although, unlike everyone else, I am not too keen on the colours against each other. If I were going to make a card like this I would probably either change the colours or just use one of the colours used in the frame to use as a background - sorry.

Another card which I wish we could see in real life as to start with I thought some of the stripes were grey until I read the description & saw the close ups. Not colours I would have put together but @ nice card. Thank you Sue.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Sue, love the colour choices xx Hazel
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful colour card, the middle art deco reminds me of a stage for some reason, but another stunning card!
ReplyDeleteWow! Stunning colour combination today. X
ReplyDeleteAmazing choice of colours and great way to use stripes. The design remember me a circus or a theatre stage. Fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue, fabulous card and a great background. I agree with lindlyloo about the centre of the art deco die. I’ve seen this die several times but this is the only occasion that my first thought was of a stage, wondering if it is the gold mirror card
