Hello my crafty friends! I selected a piece of aqua card and embossed it with the Falling Snow embossing folder. I used spray glue to the entire piece then coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. Next I cut the outer die from the Stained Glass Poinsettia die set. I cut it down a bit so I could use the bow at the top but with the die going sideways. I left out the middle die and cut the poinsettia die out of white. I cut it with two pieces of white card and used the bottom piece (that doesn't cut all the way) as my pattern. I decided to use the Glossy Glazes on it. I was playing around with them and made them look textured by using a palette knife to create some soft peaks with the product, just for a different look. I used the Heritage Red, Green Velvet and Spring Mint colours of the Glossy Glazes. I set it aside to dry overnight then added the white cut version of the poinsettia die on top. I added the scene to the embossed background using mounting foam. I cut the I Believe In Magic sentiment from the Christmas Wordie sheets. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Ohhh Sue.
ReplyDeleteYou've taken my breath away all week with your elegant luxurious inspiration and you've done it again. The ideas the inspiration you give us so freely shows your love of the craft and it shows just how proud you are of the designer road you took, and so are we, we have so much to be thankful for, so we believe in the magic you share.
2 years on from a devastating diagnosis for our only child, we have our own magic to believe in, a clear CT scan with no signs of any Mr C. Now all we need is for me to get through my investigations next month and also get the same results. Believe in magic, stay well, and love to all that comment on this beauty today. God bless blog friends xxx

Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. What a lovely card today and I like the way you have changed the orientation and size of the frame to make smaller cards. Thank you for sharing this. I do love poinsettias for Christmas and I like to use them for my cards and decorations as I do not seem to be able to keep the real ones alive for long enough.
