Hello bloggers! I picked a piece of Sherbet card to use as the background. Using the Heart Scalloped Border, I cut it into the card on the left and right sides. I backed the card with a piece of black card. Next, I cut two Looped Squares in white and matted them then attached them in a diamond orientation in the centre of the card. I inked the Petunia Stampcuts die with black water based ink and cut it. I used alcohol ink markers to colour it. I mounted it onto the Looped Squares with mounting foam. I added two sentiments which I cut from Wordie Sheets (Everyday and Love Wordie Sheets). The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
ReplyDeleteI love the design itself, it's clean and not too fussy but I'm more of a pastel shade gal rather that bright colours especially when it comes to the final mat, I'm a crafter that likes to keep the bright shades for such things as your balloons, some sentiments and your floral dies to give that 'pop' of colour we all love.
Hope everyone is feeling as well as possible and I send hugs to everyone that visits today xxx
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I love the black and cerise background showing through, the looped squares are perfect to display the florals, yes I like this one

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. I love the border dies cut into the card so that you can see the colour behind and, of course, as I have already said, I love all the looped edge shapes. Not too sure about the sherbet card though but I may not be getting the true colour on the computer screen.

Not seen the sherbet card before, it definitely needs the pop of white to just break it up. A very striking card. Thank you Sue.
