Hello crafters! Here's a shaker card made using the latest dies that we released this week. I started by cutting the Checkered Heart Background out of Old Rose card and white card. I offset the white die cut behind the old rose die cut then backed it with a piece of white card. I cut the Round Corner Squares and made a multi-layered frame with a thicker white base and a thin pink frame on top. I added a piece of clear acetate to the back of the frame then ran mounting foam around the edge. I added Iced Flake to the frame (which I turned over so it formed a "bowl" for my shaker elements.) I sealed it with another piece of acetate, then attached the frame over the Heart Background. I cut the Wedding Couple in white and added it to the corner of the frame. I cut the Happy Anniversary sentiment out of powder pink card, shadowed it with an old rose die cut and glued it to the acetate across the top of the frame. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Hi Sue what a lovely few days sharing your new collection, I am hopeless at keeping up though lol. I do love to see a professionally made shaker card, each time I attempt one I end up 'bodging' my way through, luckily you can't see where I've 'bodged' but for once I'd like to feel confident that I could sail through each step without some mishap, I need a one to one tutorial as I'm useless at taking in instructions I learn by eye most of the time!!

ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday everyone x
Fabulous card. Oh that Checkered Heart Background is glorious. I think it could be my favourite die from the launch but it’s so hard to choose.
I remember how thrilled anyone has been to receive a shaker card from me but it doesn’t happen very often and I cannot remember the last time I made one.
Take care everyone x
Sending positive thoughts to all x
