Baby

Good Sunday morning all!  I pulled out the alcohol inks for this one!  I started with a Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink card base and used Sailboat Blue, Sunshine Yellow, Citrus and Wild Plum alcohol inks applied on the diagonal.  I cut the Noble Baby sentiment out of Black Gloss card then I die cut it out of the centre of the alcohol inked card.  I do have to admit that I misplaced several of the fall away pieces so I decided to add a white backing behind the inked piece and then paper pieced the word cut in black back into the area.  ( I did use the sentiment on another card which you will see at some point).  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a white double layered frame and added it around the sentiment.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 3/4"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now Sue x

  1. Hi Sue and all that visit.
Although I love the rainbow effect, my personal thoughts are that it maybe slightly harsh to welcome a newborn, although I suppose it depends on the parents, I'm a 'it's a girl so delicate pink or other pastel shades are made for these happy occasions, it's a lovely design but a little 'powerful' for a new family addition.
Hope everyone who indulged in the coronation yesterday had a lovely few hours and it carries over to today for you xxx

A stunning card today, but like Steph, I think
the colours are a touch too bright for me.

We enjoyed the Coronation, didn't watch all of
it, but what we watched we enjoyed.

Love the rainbow effect. It is another card that with a change of sentiment would be suitable for so many occasions. Bright and cheery - just what’s needed x

  15. Hi Sue, apologies for not leaving a comment yesterday, I was so engrossed in the Coronation that I totally forgot. No other country puts on a display like we do, it was fantastic. I did like your tower of presents on the embossed balloons. I usually love your rainbow background cards but like some others I feel that the colours today are a little strong for a baby but maybe that is just my age showing :-)
