For My Friend

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of teal card for today's card.  I used part of the Decorative Scalloped Border die and cut it into the card on the top and bottom of the card.  Next I used the Squared Rectangles dies and cut it into the centre of the card.  I added a black backing piece that just covered the Squared Rectangles from the back.  Next I cut a piece of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet and added it behind the entire card.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on the exposed adhesive on the front of the card.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and made a thin white frame.  I added mounting foam to it and attached it to the centre of the card.  I cut the For My Friend sentiment in black and glued it inside the white frame.  I cut two butterflies from the Dainty Butterfly die set and glittered them then added them around the sentiment.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue.
If only I could remember that your dies can cut into cardstock not just use to cut out a design!! Maybe it's because we don't seem to see much inspiration where like today you've cut into your top mat of cardstock and it looks so very effective, I did remember this last year or even the year before that and I also remember thinking 'why don't I do this effect more often it makes a beautiful change' so its time to tape a post it note to the shelf above my work table, that way today's beautiful idea will encourage me to use your beautiful dies in a way we possibly all forget. Time for 'innies ' not 'outies' lol.
Lots of love to all that love popping in every day 💕 xx

  7. Hello Sue. At first glance this card looks quite simple, but judging by the length of the description, there is much more detail than you think. Love the colour and the effect of the swags on the background.

  8. Good Morning Sue. This is lovely. I love the teal colour. Any one would love to receive this lovely card. And with a bit of thinking ... It could be a classy man card. Black and gold would work fine. Skip the butterflys for a golf or football and you have a great man card. I will certainly try this ... one for the ladies and one for the men
Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏.
