Hi bloggers! I selected a piece of Iris card to use for the background. I embossed it with the Floral Brocade embossing folder. Next I cut two of the Draped Jewelled Border in black and glued them to the sides of the card. I cut the Hello Friend sentiment in white and added it to a shadow backing cut out of vellum. I glued that to the centre of the card. Using the Pierced Layered Flowers, I cut three of them out of white card covered with a sticky adhesive sheet. I added the outline die to each of the flowers, then coated the remaining adhesive areas with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I added iris card centres to each flower. I cut the Bauble Branch die in white and used it as an accents on either side of the flowers. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 10" in size. All for now, Sue x
Hiya Sue and all.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Would I have left the background with plain cardstock - more than likely because the floral brocade folder is really busy and decorative and so is the choice of dies, it would be either or for me, I'm really not sure about today's inspiration I love certain aspects and I adore both dies, it's lovely to see the bauble branch and the jewelled border, but would I have used them both ? You've really got me thinking this morning Sue lol.
Lots of love to all, hope those of you that had snow, I believe it belongs to us, I do apologise please forward it to Lancashire and further up the map lol stay safe, no broken bones allowed on this blog we live to far apart to give any help : (

Love the design but it’s maybe a bit too busy for me. X

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. My first thought was that I love this card but after reading Steph's comments, I agree that perhaps the background is a little too busy xx
