Friend

Hi bloggers!  I selected a piece of Periwinkle card as my background.  I cut the Draped Jewelled Border four times out of black car.  I glued the four dies to each of the sides of the card.  I cut the Hello Friend die in black but only used the Friend portion of the die.  I glued it to the middle of the card, slightly toward the bottom rather than squarely in the centre.  I used a Wordie sentiment in black above it.  Using the Pierced Summer Blossoms, I cut two flowers in white , assembled them and added black centres.  I seated the flowers in the right corner and added some white leaves as accents.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Hiya Sue.
I absolutely love the draped jewel border, it has a slight Asian design to it. When I was researching Asian cards that they send for various celebrations and occasions a lot of your small earlier dies look quite similar so I used them as designs for Eid as well as the specialised Eid dies with the Temple, I don't usually blow my own trumpet but thanks to you they looked sooo pretty. Today's inspiration is just beautiful and a die I'd love to think that one day I'll find the need to buy it. Love to all, keep well xx

  4. Hi Sue

This card is just gorgeous. I love the jewelled border die and it looks so dramatic cut in black against the periwinkle. The sentiment die is nice and bold and the flowers are the perfect finishing touch.

  11. Hi Sue. Love the way the delicacy of the jewelled border die cut stands out so nicely against the blue background. Not sure if I would use it for a card but I think it would make a wonderful page in an art journal.

Not sure on today's post - love the elements but still not sure and don't know why. However, most of the time we don't make for ourselves and can see why it is popular....

  21. Good Evening Sue and ohh a Wow. What a card. Blue and lacey. My favourite combination. Don't matter what colour the lace is ... It's beautiful. I don't have the same die. But I remember when you brought out the configuration dies . One of them was quite similar to the one here on this sample. I think it might be coming out again in the near future.Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them. Please stay safe and well 🙏 .Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

  25. Hi Sue, sorry for the lateness I thought I had commented this morning! A lovely card with a very Victorian feel to it. I think the design would make an excellent sympathy card.
