Just Because

Hello there my crafty friends!  I selected a piece of pixied card from my stash pile.  I used Burnt Orange and Sun Yellow Pixie Powders on it.  I cut the Draped Jewelled Border die four times out of white card and glued them into the four corners, creating a diamond shape in the centre.  I cut the Noble Just Because sentiment in black and glued it to the centre of the card.  I added a Wordie sentiment below it.  Using the Pierced Layered Flowers, I made a single flower and glittered it and added leaves and seated it to the left of the sentiment.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  X  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  8. Hi Sue. Love the colour you have created for the background. It looks almost coral pink on my screen and it's great that you have shown us a different way of using the jewelled border die.

  18. Hi Sue.
I wish I could report I'd been on a wonderful world cruise but alas I'd be telling porkies. After my last comment about 6th January another chest infection decided to take a good hold on me and was taken back into hospital. I won't send this lovely caring family to sleep, but it was a long hard depressing 3 weeks in hospital with no WiFi- not that I felt well enough. I've been home just a week or so and guess what was waiting for me when I got home? Yep, that horrible nasty virus that's taking people down left right and centre!! So however long it's been, I've felt horrible, no interest, felt down and downright awful. I've literally made myself sign in today because I think it's one of those things that if you don't give yourself a good talking to, you could feel down and depressed for longer than you really want to if any of that makes sense.
I've lots to catch up with as I just switched off my phone to everyone and everything apart from my 'keeper' and our daughter whilst in hospital and there are times I had message failed notifications, which did nothing for low sad mood swings may I add.
Today's post is just so beautiful, a sunny background for a sunny day, and hopefully a bright cheerful start to my slow return to a place that's always been here for me if only in spirit at times, and a slow return to some of the nicest friends I've ever made on the Internet, genuine friends can be found even though we don't and won't meet, I've found my life here and I'll never be so grateful.
Catch up starts here, I'm so looking forward to the pages of beauty ahead. Missed you xxx

  22. Hi Sue, I love this beautiful card. Who would have thought that Burnt Orange and Sun Yellow would make such a lovely pink-toned background. The Draped Jewelled Border makes perfect corners for a diamond centrepiece.

Steph - such a relief to see you back here where you belong. So sorry that you have been incapacitated for so long and hopefully you will just get better and better from now on. Plenty of gorgeous goodies for you to catch up with and to feast your eyes upon.
