Thinking Of You

Hi crafters!  I used the Nordic Tiles embossing folder to give some texture to the background.  Next I used the Round Corner Squares die and cut two small white frames.  I added mounting foam to the back of them and attached them in opposite corners of the background.  I cut the Thinking Of You duo sentiment in black.  I put the first part in the upper frame and the second part in the lower frame.  Using the Poinsettia Trio die set, I cut six poinsettias out of ruby red card.  I added green leaves to the flowers and  gold centres then seated them in a diagonal across the card between the two frames.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  9"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Morning Sue.
This is the time of year that can be quite lowering amongst the joys of watching a child's eyes wide at the thought of Santa and all he brings. I particularly think of the girls we've lost due to cruel illness off this beautiful blog and it's hard knowing they once shared your beautiful work, they loved everything you shared with us, so to wake up to the perfect tribute and inspiration to those that have lost this time of year makes it easier. Not everyone will have a happy festive time, so this is just right to let a friend or family member know they've not been forgotten.
Thanks Sue for another inspiring piece of artwork.
Love to everyone this Tuesday and gentle warm hugs are free xx

  29. Love this card. I bought the sentiment right away and have been using it on a lot of my cards this year. There are so many people it applies to.
Have a great midweek everyone, I still have a few cards to make up before I can pack up my Christmas dies so that will be my day. Dreary weather here,
