Christmas Greetings

Good Sunday morning all!  I had a browse through my background stash and found this unusual piece that was just large enough for a slimline card.  I used  Pumpkin Patch, Groovy Grape and Coral Crush Pixie Sparkles on this piece.  I used the Slimline Looped Rectangles and cut it.  I added it to a piece of Amethyst card as a mat.  I cut the ornaments from the Slimline Christmas Accessories and the Festive Accessories die sets out of  Antique Gold card and Gold Mirror card.  I used the small beaded swag from the Christmas Shadow Box  to connect all the ornaments across the top of the card.  I cut the Christmas Greetings sentiment out of antique gold and seated it on a shadow backing cut in white.  I attached the sentiment to the card with mounting foam.  I cut the Looped Rectangles in the next larger size in white and attached the entire card to it.  The card was completed with white and purple mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/4"  x  9 3/4"  in size.  All for now,  Sue x

  2. Hi Sue.
This is beautiful. I've used my Christmas accessories baubles so much this year, I used the pretty delicate entwined wire type dies that come in 2 sized with the Bauble Branch and the little bow die from this accessory set to place on the top where the bauble meets your swag and I used your little baubles as a pattern to cut round and placed the same colour behind them as I used as a mat, your dark plum with the vintage gold goes amazingly well. Today's inspiration explains just how versatile your collection is and can all be mixed and matched in some way. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
Sending love to you both and all that pop in today xx

  3. Morning Sue, lovely card and quite appropriate for me as I'll be putting baubles on my tree, today. A little behind with Christmas preparations due to mobility problems which prevented me from climbing into the loft to get to my Christmas tat or should I say, "stash'? lol
    Keep warm everyone!!

  8. Hi Sue. What unusual colours for a Christmas card, but I think they really work to give a more modern feel to it. This has given us all food for thought!

Oh I love todays card. A Pixied background - my favourite and slimline which is one of my favourite card formats. As well as that those colours are amazing. They look so rich and beautiful - opulent.

  21. Hi Sue, a lovely contemporary style of card. There is no law saying what colours we can use for Christmas cards and although I tend to lean towards the traditional I do like to mix it up a bit sometimes and surprise my friends :-). I find the baubles very useful especially for aperture cards.
