Season's Greetings

Hello bloggers!  For today's card I started with the Inner Scalloped Rectangles.  I cut one out of white and then used the fall away piece from it for the background.  I embossed it with the Falling Snow embossing folder.  I raised it by adding mounting foam to the back.  I used the Inner Scalloped die cut and backed it with a piece of tan card, then added the embossed background on top.  I used the The Robin Family die set and cut three birds out of tan card.  I used Festive Berries ink on their tummies.  I cut the greenery several times, then added Fluffy Stuff and heated it to look like snow.  I attached the greenery to the background, then added pine cones from the Pine Cone & Greenery die set.  I added two of the birds with mounting foam.  I cut the nest and eggs and added the third bird to it and attached it in the centre of the card.  I used the Season's Greeting sentiment cut in black and glued it to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.   The finished dimensions are 5 3/4"  X  10"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue.
These lovely robins are now an all year round treat whereas when I was a 'youngun ' we knew winter and Santa was on its way when we saw these cheeky beautiful birds and I adore the story of the red chest, my 'keeper' has a bobbing robbin follow them on the first morning walk, obviously someone is taking care of them.
This quaint inspiration would be perfect for a winter birthday with one of your lovely birthday sentiments.
Love to all today, stay safe and well xxx

  8. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow, this is amazing, love the robins, the background and all the tiny elements on it, although it might appear fiddly everything is cut out with the dies, you just have to adhere them to the creation, gorgeous, thank you. x

Good morning Sue and ll Wilsonetts
A gorgeous card and each part of the build up has its own part to play. The final step is tobring it to our attension and have us swooning over it.
I love every bit of it and I do have a Nephew called Robin so I will be making his card from my robins and your posting today.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  25. Hi Sue, a lovely card and I regularly use my Robin Family die set especially at Christmas. I have just fed my robin in the garden, he actually came right up to the house today so I hope he gets to the food before the starlings and sparrows.
