Birthday Wishes
Hello there my crafty friends! I just love rainbow cards and this is no exception. Not only is it colourful and eye catching, but it is really easy to do too! I started with a piece of Silver Sparkle Alcohol card. I used a variety of alcohol inks across it in a diagonal manner. I applied the inks to a felt applicator and just streaked it across the card. I cut the Birthday Wishes Background in white an glued it over the top of the inked piece. I used the Double Stitched Squares and made a white frame to go around the background. I also cut the Looped Squares and layered them underneath the framed background. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Oooh I used my new looped square dies last week not only are they the prettiest frames I've got, pricking out the fallout is soooo satisfying lol, so thank you for giving me the opportunity to be picked as a comment winner. This inspiration is so joyful, it makes you smile it makes you want to celebrate your own birthday even if it isn't. I've not heard of silver sparkle alcohol card let alone seen a piece of it, I'm intrigued and unfortunately my local little independent craft shop is still closed due to family health concerns. So I'll wish everyone a lovely day and please keep as well as possible. Love to all xxx
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this is such a beautiful creation, I thought I had seen this one before, but it must have been different, I was lucky enough to win this die in the blog launch and it has so many uses. Love the different colours you have used in the back ground and the loop dies.

Good Morning Sue and all who visit. When I see this type of card I always think "ooo a twofer" because it has no specific gender content ... It can be made for any individual. Using the colours you have chosen on today's sample is great for the younger ones. Pastels for the ladies and of course darker shades for those pesky men ! ! I just love this one. Thankyou Sue. Hi Sue This was the card that launched your new birthday releases and I just had to buy the birthday wishes background die., so now I’m very happy to know how you did the colourful backing to the die. Like Steph I’m not familiar with the silver sparkle alcohol card so I must Google it.
Hi Sue, I loved this card at launch and the rainbow colours are gorgeous, good to learn how you created them. So much versatility to this die and it is on my ever growing list.
I have never used alcohol silver cardstock (TH). Now another thing on my list if I ever get this wild puppy settled so I can make cards. I am getting edgy but we love him.I managed to mail out 5 Halloween cards but have another 7 that are local...will I make it? I have a pile of witches & goblins cut so maybe. I do love this bright & happy card this morning.It certainly would be a hit for anyone celebrating a birthday no matter their age or gender. Best week beginning, Stephanie K
