Enjoy The Magic Of The Season

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started with a piece of white card and used the Heart Scalloped Border and cut into the card five lines with all the dies put together.  I backed it with a piece of Ruby Red card.  Next, I used the Double Stitched Ovals and the Scalloped Ovals to create a multi-layered frame in white, red and black.  I added it with mounting foam to the centre of the background.  I cut the Enjoy The Magic Of The Season sentiment from the Blustery Frame die set and glued it into the upper part of the frame.  I used the Poinsettia Trio and cut two white flowers, glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz  and added them to the lower corner of the oval frame with leaves as accents.  The card was completed with white, black and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9"  in size.

Just to remind you that I will be posting the winners names from the Halloween die release later this afternoon.  Don't forget to pop back by and see if you name is on the list!  All for now, Sue x

  5. Oh Sue todays inspiration is just amazing. It's reminds me of that Scandinavian look so much, I can't think of the words I want to compliment you on this wonderful sample due to lack of sleep, and a fur-baby terrified of thunder, but I'm sure you'll get the just.
Good luck for the draw later everyone and keep safe and well xxx

  6. Hi Sue. I do like to use red and white for Christmas cards, giving them a scandi-look. What a good idea to use the border die several times like this to create a whole background.

  13. Good Morning Sue. Oh this background is so lovely. I just love the lace effect. It reminds me of crochet antique lace. And I really love my crocheting. But the whole card is beautiful. And I would love to recreate this one ... As soon as I get started ... lol. Thankyou Sue.

  17. Morning Sue,
Lovely card and as my stepdaughter works for Sweedish airways this would make a great card for her. I do love Scandinavian designs and those heart borders would be so useful for many cards throughout the year.
