Joy

Hi bloggers!  I selected a rather wild green background from my stash to use as a starting point for today's card.  I used Olive Green, Emerald green Peacock green and Golden Mint Pixie Powders.  Using the Round Corner Squares, I made a multi-layered frame with a white base and a smaller black frame on top.  I also cut two white mats using the Round Corner Squares and layered them then glued them inside the frame to the pixied background.   I cut the Wreath Frame in black and glued it to the white mats.  I made a smaller frame using a leftover piece of the pixie card and added it to the wreath with mounting foam.  I cut the word Joyful out of white card, then nipped away the last letters leaving the word Joy.  I glued it inside the frame in the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8" in size.

Guess what?  We have another die launch this month which starts tomorrow.  It is only a very small release of five dies, but I am very excited to share it with you as it is my very first Halloween release!  We will be starting tomorrow morning at 6am.  All for now, Sue x

  2. A beautiful sample Sue, it's very busy which usually isn't my favourite type of design, I adore clean, peaceful type designs but this is really lovely. Mmmm Halloween dies, I'm intrigued to see how they'll go down here in the UK. I'm really looking forward to this treat.
Keep safe and well everyone xxx

  5. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a stunning creation with that wonderful colourful background, I managed to get the rounded corner dies recently so will have a go at this one. I personally am not sure about Halloween as it is something I am not really interested in but I know that there are lots of people who are.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  24. Hi Sue, I really like this very different style of card and I love that mix of green pixies. I don't "do" Halloween but I know a lot of younger people do enjoy it so I shall look forward to seeing your designs even though they won't be for me.

  25. Hi Sue. Love that pixie background. I would usually use gold with green, but it looks as though there is green within the powders already so it wouldn't sow up against it so well. Black is a good choice instead.

  26. I was just playing with this die yesterday. Love this card. I need to make some backgrounds.
I am very excited about your Halloween dies also! I saw on Jamie's FB or an email from CE can't remember but after Christmas I love making Halloween cards and mail out 10-12 every year so some fresh toys and ideas are welcome.
Hope everyone is having a good start to their week,
