You Are Close To My Heart

Hello bloggers!  I was having a little play with the new Glossy Glazes on today's card.  I selected the Basketweave Mask and taped it to a  piece of white card.  I used the Blush Pink Glossy Glaze through the mask with a palette knife.  I removed the mask and set it aside to dry thoroughly.  I cut a multi-layered frame using the Double Stitched Squares.  I used mounting foam to attach the frames to each other and the background.  I cut a circle out of white card using the Double Stitched Circles dies and added a white backing to it then attached it to the upper right corner of the frame.  I cut the Magnolia Corner out of white card and glued it in the lower left corner of the frame.  Using the flowers from the Magnolia Corner, I cut them in white and used Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress inks to colour them before assembling them.  I added them to the Magnolia Corner.  I cut the You Are Close To My Heart sentiment in white and used the same inks to colour it.  I added a black shadow to it, then glued it into the circle frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8"  in size.

    Good Morning Sue. Ohhhh WOW I love this card and you have used one of my all time favourite dies. The magnolia corner is a beautiful set. I have not tried the glazed yet ... But I have plenty of other stuff to recreate this with my own take on the background ... If you don't mind Sue. It's lovely and a gorgeous colour. Thankyou Sue.

    Am feeling a little better this morning so while the going is good I thought I would do my post. My hip still hurts but not quite as bad as yesterday.

    Good Morning all

    This is a beautiful fresh card you have for us today, I have already purchased the new glossy glazes but not tried them out yet, I'm all set for this afternoon marathon and can't wait to see both Gwen and Jamie in action, I know there will be something naughty jumping in my basket they always do when I watch these two.
    Well better get my jobs finished so I'm all clear for later.

    Gorgeous card with a beautiful background. The Blush Pink Glossy Glaze is soft and feminine and matches perfectly with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress inks, which you used to color the flowers. Love it.

    Now Sue, you caught my attention with this card……..PINK, PINK & MORE PINK! I love it. Definitely going to give this idea a go, probably with stuff I’ve already got in my stash. Been watching the CE Takeover. Am recording it, so I can dip in/out when I can. I love Jamie demo-ing, no hanging around, he’s in there😂.
