Flying By To Say Hello

Hi crafters!  I started this colourful card using a piece of white card as my background.  I cut the Bird Cage die in black four times.  I cut the Bird Cage in half, then took off the sides.  I put the same two pieces back together to create this new shaped birdcage.  I kept the lattice pieces from all four bird cages to make the borders on the top and bottom of the card.  I used the greenery from the Hummingbird and Toucan sets to add to the borders.  I cut the flowers in yellow, orange and ink and added them to the greenery.  I cut a Parrot out of white card.  I used Distress Markers to colour the parrot and then added him into the bird cage before gluing it to the centre of the card.  I used the Flying By To Say Hello sentiment cut in black and used above and below the focal element.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
