Sending Lots Of Happiness

Hello there my crafty friends!  I decided to try a couple of new colours together for today's background.  I used Into The Blues and Molten Gold Pixie Sparkles.  I covered it with a piece of cling film and let it dry overnight.  Next I cut the Moonflower Floral Panel in both antique gold card and black card.  I used the black die cut to shadow behind the gold one.  I cut a white frame from the Button Flower Floral Panel die set and glued Moonflower panel into the frame.  I cut a butterfly out of gold card from the Butterfly Delights die set and added it above the sentiment.  I cut the Sending Lots Of Happiness sentiment in white and black, then shadowed it and glued it under the butterfly.  The card was completed with white and gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue.
At first I wasn't sure, usually your inspiration jumps out at me as soon as it loads, but sometimes it stares at me, the more I look the more I start to smile and the more it sings to me, I really love using clingfilm on pixie powder backgrounds, I think it was the colour of the panel, it looks darker than my vintage gold cardstock,. I should know by now that colours don't show true on photos lol.
Wherever you are I send love to all xx

  4. Hi Sue. I love the background today. It looks almost like a natural stone. Normally, I would use silver with blue inks but I think that the gold looks stunning and shows off the panel element beautifully.

A great post - particularly love the background and would be good for any masculine cards whilst working equally as well like this. Love it...

  15. Good morning Sue
I think this is one of the cards that you need to see in the flesh to see it’s real beauty! Not two colours I would have put together but it does work!

  19. Hi Sue, I really liked this card when you launched the panel dies so I was interested to see how you had created the background, it does have a look of polished marble to it. Love the colours and the simplicity of the card.

Hi Sue and everyone, I love the background on todays inspiration and think the gold and blue look stunning together. It has a lovely marbled look.
I've made a few Christmas cards with gold and blue, it always looks striking together. Pale blue is better with silver I think.
Hugs to all who need them
