Make A Wish

Hi bloggers!  Here's another quick and easy birthday card for you.  I started with the purple striped paper from the Dot's 'N Stripes Paper Pad.  I used it as a background and cut two strips of the matching plain purple paper and matted them with a black mat.  I added mounting foam to raise them and attached them to the sides of the background. Next, I used the small dies from the Noble Scalloped squares die set and made three small double mats with them.  I added mounting foam to each of the backs and attached them a jaunty angles down the centre of the card.  Using the Birthday Accessories set, I cut a party hat and two balloons from the purple dotty paper in the paper pad.  I attached the hat to the top and the two balloons to the bottom square with foam.  I cut the Make A Wish sentiment out of black card and glued it to the centre.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 "  x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  3. Hi Sue. There are times we have the last minute order and that's when fight or flight kicks in and we or should I say I get craftblock so it's so good when you give us the 10 minute card that's so nice and easy to make and yet looks so professional- it's time for me to stop over thinking designs, it's so much easier when your customers don't want a life story of the recipient on the front of a card (eg drinking wine in a hot tub oh and loves football) lol what??????
Don't suppose a hot tub is on your list of designs by any chance lol.
Sending love and thanks for the quick, easy really lovely inspiration xxx

  13. Good Morning Sue. Love!y quick card this morning. And would suit any gender with a colour change. And even angry age. I love the simple ones that look like it took ages to make. Lol. I agree with SEPHANIE. about the life story on the front of a card.Lol How much room so they think we have on the front of a card. I have a customer who always brings a photo she wants somewhere on the card.🤐 Thank You Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. PLEASE STAY SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏

  23. Hi Sue and everyone a quick and fun but gorgeous card today and its in my favourite colour 💜
Yes Steph I totally agree, I always get asked for the strangest things on the front of my card and get told the life history of the recipient as you say. Usually I end up having to draw something as there isn't a stamp that covers what they are asking for. Haha This year ive started just making what I like and taking crafting back to being fun instead of stressful.

Hugs to all who need them today.

  28. Hi Sue, a very nice quick and easy card and your paper pads are ideal for mixing and matching without the stress of trying to use random sheets and thinking 'does this match?' or 'is this the right shade?'. I love the scalloped squares and am so glad that I have them sitting on my desk :-)
