Happy Valentine's Day

Hi bloggers!  I have another shaker card to share with you today.  I started by cutting an aperture in the middle of a piece of white card.  I used the Rope Chain embossing folder to add texture to the background.  I cut a large heart frame using the Noble Decorative Hearts die set.  I attached a piece of clear acetate to the back of the heart frame and attached it to the aperture opening.  I turned it upside down to fill it with the shaker bits.  For this I used the gem die from the Heart Accessories die set and cut them out of red, blue and purple card that I glittered.  I added them into the back of the card and covered them with another piece of acetate to seal them inside.  I used the Double Stitched Squares and made a multi-layered frame with a wider white base and a thinner red frame on top.  I attached it to the card with mounting foam.  I made two red flowers using the Heart Leaf Flower die set and seated them on the edge of the heart.  I used the leaves from the set as accents cut in white.  I cut the Happy Valentines Day sentiment in red and glued it to the acetate.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x
