Mr & Mrs

Hello bloggers!  Here's a pretty slimline wedding card to share today.  I used a piece of backing card from my stash.  I used Beyond Blue with a little bit of Groovy Grape and Teal Marine Pixie Sparkles.  I used the Heart Aperture and cut into it, leaving a wide border around it.  I added some foam mounting tape to raise it then added a white backing piece.  I used the Slimline Rectangle Frames and added a white frame around the card.  I also used the Slimline Essential frames and some leftover pixied card and added a thinner frame to the white frame.  I cut the Wedding Couple in white and added them to the top corner of the card.  I used the greenery from the Wedding Column and Arches die set and cut it in white and added it to the two upper corners.  Over the middle aperture, I used part of the arch cut in white to hold a silver bell.  I cut the Mr & Mrs die in silver and glued it to the outside of the aperture.  Within the three hearts, I used a heart and arrow from the Heart Accessories set and the Love heart in another aperture and the heart letters and Be Mine in the middle aperture.  The card was completed with white and silver mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5"  x  9 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  2. Hi Sue and all that pop in.

I really love looking at the slimline samples you show us and I'm still in battle with myself as to whether I need to own one, the only thing I can say is today's inspirational sample is slightly too busy for the size of the card, it could be the dimensions look different on a phone than it does on a laptop or tablet but I enjoy the simple minimalistic look on this shape of card. I know we all have our own loves and ideas regarding crafting and we don't always agree with each other but that's when new ideas are born, if we were similar in our designs there would be no different inspiration to help each other. Its amazing just how many 100's of different designs come from just one collection of dies, so yes I love the slimline but if the design is peaceful serene and minimalistic.
Hope everyone is still keeping well and safe, sending love to all that don't feel so good - thinking of you xxx

  6. Hi Sue,

A very pretty card, perhaps it is slightly busier than I would do, but variety is the spice of life. However the colours are gorgeous and I am sure anyone would be pleased to receive a card like this.
